People were complaining to me that pendulums are unfair. But at least they dont rip out 2 to 3 cards from your hand while setting up a board.

Well in all fairness pendulum mags did have a lot of things it did. And that's why its cards had to be banned and lectrumite had to get limited. But however i agree it wasnt the main deck that was the problem it was the extra deck that was unfair. And now we have endymions and m beasts that can bust out either 3 to 4 monster negates or 3 to 4 spell trap negates. So pendulums way more unfair then fair right now and if it wasnt for dark ruler nomore and super poly then things would be unfair.

@@AaronHeininger Pendulums are very much fair (in MR4) and you can unban all of their stuff if you ban Electrumite. Guardragons are the problem, hence why Pendulums haven't topped basically anything after Argapain was banned.

I don't know why many players have that habit to put field centers when you already have a mat with Extra Monster Zones and I have seen worst: the store already has a bit mat for two players like the one on the video but they bring their own mat, put it on this one and put more field centers.

I thought thunder dragon was about to smack cyber dragons sadly with how short the video was and how the first turn went. I'm glad it turned out the other way around lol. I love cyber dragons. Breaking boards and dropping sieger combined with rampage or cyber twin to absolutely clap them cheeks is always fun.

It's absurd and unfair that this deck gets to rip 2 of your cards in hand on top of making that board. It should be either or. Plus it takes 10 minutes of just watching the opponent jerk themselves only for you to scoop 20 seconds into your turn.

well I make combo decks and I take an absurd amount of time in the first turn so I have to play against AI so people don't have to sit there waiting for their turn with thunder dragon I was able to end with 6 different strong monsters on the field and with no dangers on deck

To be fair, the danger tdragon deck has like one direct combo line. Outside of that, the end board is usually the same but the way you get there is almost always different. On the cydra side, machine dupe on a cyber dragon is very standard and people know what is going to happen. So taking an almost 7 minute turn compared to a 20 second turn is entirely fair on either side. Also the ability to rip 2 cards from the hand is also not a guarantee and not the most consistent. It is usually just 1 card. And as we witnessed, the deck is pretty fragile to interruption, and can be appropriately sided for pretty easily.

This is why I play Trinity format lol. Another option is implement summoning sickness, or increase starting life points. These “competitive” matches are no more than 2 turns. There is literally little to no strategy. It’s mostly just stupid long combos. Don’t get me wrong, I love combos, but this just gets stupid. It’s not fun for most people.

As a player who returned after 10 years I can say this. My 1s regionals back the guy took 11 min for his first turn. That really makes returning players not come back. I’m happy Nibiru & Dark Ruler no more came out. They do help speed things up. Thunder Dragon just shows that we don’t need to keep going down this path. Advance is our “Legacy” format that MTG has. Maybe when Master Rule comes out they give a time limit to your turn. To maybe 4 mins. 10 Min turns is want to much. Really makes people play extra slow just to put these combo decks into time and auto lose that way.

Machine dupe allowed him to special 2 cydra from his deck, means he had sieger and infini on his board and probably another xyz as well. I think the thunder player though he had the advantage on the third game because he started.

Just play cyber dragons if you like old Yu-Gi-Oh. Truth is if we were still playing meta during the synchro format the game Wis be dead due to boredom and simplicity. The complexity is needed to keep the game fresh. Honestly, I'd say this is the best time to come back to the game, there's lots of options and ways to customize your deck to make up for it's weak points .I'm a returning player and it took me 5 months to get over the learning curve and I'm now having lots of fun. I recommend cyber dragons or ABC , they're too very simple and fun decks.
