At 1:40 Sonny says "he's going out for a smoko ay". 'Smoko' is Australian slang for 'smoke break' or just a general short work break. For an example of this, check out The Chats' great song 'Smoko'. 'Ay' is a word thrown onto the end of a sentence, similar to the stereotypical Canadian 'eh?', usually used at the end of a statement where you expect affirmation or agreement from others. A typical use of this would be something like "Nijisanji's pretty good ay". At 5:19 he says "oi chuck us some of that mapo tofu". 'Chuck us some of that X' is a friendly informal say of asking for something from someone, usually around the dinner table or when sharing food with friends. An example of this would be "Oi Damo, could you chuck us some of that tomato sauce? Cheers mate." At 5:22 he says "that's f**king good as". 'Good as' is slang to describe something that's really good. Yes, that really is the word 'as', it's not an incomplete sentence. Imagine saying something like Nijisanji is 'good as hell', then removing 'hell' and putting the emphasis on 'as'. There's other variants too like 'sweet as', 'sick as' etc. This is also very common in New Zealand, and if you want a good example of this, check out the hilarious KZbin classic Beached Whale from Beached Az.

@@SonnyClipsko That's OK, don't worry about it. You would expect most people outside of Australia to not understand these phrases. Apart from 'no worries', which has now become an international phrase, most of these slang words and phrases are not used anywhere else other than Australia and sometimes New Zealand. I am Australian myself and even I didn't understand some Australian slang until only fairly recently (like 'seppo' which I had never heard before until I saw people on Reddit using it)

@@SonnyClipsko A couple of other things 4:05 he says "Hog one of the controllers" not hugged, basically saying he was greedily keeping it to himself 5:23 "get it in here" is "get it in ya" is pretty common bogan for encouraging someone to eat something tasty 5:53 is close, but pretty sure he's saying "Struth/Strewth", which is rarely used these days so he probably picked up a lot of his bogan language from someone older, but it's basically a generic exclamation in agreement/confirmation

I have been in Australia my entire life and even though I'm female I barely use any slang, don't swear unless it's part of a song or I'm exceedingly mad/very spooked. All I gotta say is that even if you don't have an Aussie accent like me and you're in Australia you won't be judged. (I can only confirm that for Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia but I'm sure its the same for other places in Australia too)

he does realise...that....aussies don't all speak like that right? sure if you love in the more outback type of place then yeah i do suppose some would but his voice right now isn't too out of the ordinary and not many people would notice anyways. on top of that, he has a very lovely voice and as an aussie myself, born and raised here, no one gives a fuck about you not sounding super australian. also, it would be better off if you don't use aussie bogan voice, i have lived here my whole life and never said "g'day" or "mate". NO ONE CALLS YOU OUT ON THE STREET LIKE THIS MR SONNY BRISKO WHERE IN AUSTRALIA DO YOU LIVE?!?!? i just thought i would clear that up and sonny please know you don't have to speak like that if you live here. some and i say *some* speak like that but we won't judge you if you don't.
