Two words: Treg Brown. He was doing foley artistry (read: sound effects) long before the Oscars even considered it a thing. And, since back then, it WASN'T considered a thing...Friz Freleng, Robert McKimson, and Chuck Jones (especially Chuck) gave Treg the "honorific" credit of "film editor". Which, in an audio sense, he was at that.
