I think by that point it was 50:50 that Disney Animation could have been shut down. After all, The Black Cauldron lost almost $20 million at the box office. So, why bother paying extra for advertising a film that not a lot of people (outside of Roy Disney) had faith in?

i got my childhood black diamond Walt Disney classics Disney movies the black diamond ones and i love the ending of 101 Dalmatians it has the previews of my favorite black diamond Walt Disney’s classic the great mouse detective but the adventures of the great mouse detective was way better Basil of Baker Street was so smart clever brave strong 💪 heroic and very very handsome ❤️ oh Basil of Baker Street i love you ❤️😘💕💋

Did you know? Outside Australia, we called this brand by another name (this time no DVD line, no Fox and the Hound on DVD, no The Great Mouse Detective), the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection. MASTERPIECE singular, not MASTERPIECES plural. Not even CLASSICS plural or CLASSIC singular. Yeah, we use the word "MASTERPIECE" over here.
