I have a question is 听得懂 really translated to understandable? Understandable means that the logic of what you are saying makes sense. For example, if milly stole susan's wedding dress. It is understandable that susan does not want to go to milly's wedding. I think a better translation of 听得懂 is i am able to understand. For example, i am able to understand directions given to be in mandrian as I understand mandrian. Feel free to correct me if 听得懂 has both meanings.
