This was straight forward, thank you. I have a laser engraving company and have been making custom leather hat patches but I really want to get into embroidery. I wish I had the money to invest in one right now.

Thanks for watching! I think for businesses that deliver a service (although often times it feels like we are creating a product), it is important to remember most of our cost is in labor and more important to charge for it. I've only used a diode laser for cutting patches but would love a real co2 laser for leather patches!

Thank you for a very useful video. I presume you put tender touch on the back? Look forward to more videos.
@LovesBranding

For most things, I don't normally add tender touch. Sometimes on shirts depending on the design and size but more often on baby/children's garments.

Hi, please make a video as to how to get started with your clientele when you are just starting your business. Thanks!
@LovesBranding
@LovesBranding 6 ай бұрын
I don't make any videos anymore but I started just from word of mouth and telling as many people as possible that I do embroidery. I also did some advertising on Facebook. One thing that helped is creating all the social media pages and posting photos of things you make to show people what you can make!

Where did you get the chart taped to the hoop master?
@LovesBranding
@LovesBranding 11 ай бұрын
Its in the instructions when you buy the hoop master. If you don't have it or lost it, I think they have the manual online. I just cut it out and taped it on since its accurate for me 90% of the time.

Great insights! Did the customer bring you the “ready to stitch file” or did you translate the file yourself coming from a JPEG or vector file?
@LovesBranding
@LovesBranding Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Most of the time, my customers just have their image in jpeg or other file types. I then take that and digitize it into a stitch file for the machine to read and work with
@HeinerRadau

@@LovesBranding i was contacted by some freelancers who offer file translation services, and according to some other channel i watched, apparently its not the easiest thing to get a nice stitch pattern.. so, do you charge your customers for the file translation, or do you include it in your offer, if so starting from which quantity, and if not, how much do you charge for it?
@LovesBranding
@LovesBranding Жыл бұрын
It is definitely an art to be able to digitize well. I am able to do simple designs myself but I actually have a partner who is fantastic at digitizing so I pay him for his services. Then I typically charge my customers about $15-45 for the digitizing based on the size of the design/complicated details/3d puff/etc as they usually requires a bit more work. If the order is large enough (~$200+, I don't have an exact price or quantity point), I will waive this fee for the customer to help with the sale. There are many digitizing services out there. A few I would recommend if you are looking are: JJ Digitizing, Dream Digitizing, Brooklyn Digitizing

Did you start with the melco? I have so many questions.
@LovesBranding
@LovesBranding Жыл бұрын
Hello! I started with a Brother PE800 which I quickly outgrew. The Brother PE800 is a great machine but has its limitations as a single needle machine. I definitely recommend a Melco or other multi-needle machine if you are interested in starting this as a business.

What kind of machine do you use? Do you recommend it? Any suggestions For beginners?
@LovesBranding
@LovesBranding 6 ай бұрын
I like the Melcos because their customer service and tech support is fantastic but it is a bit expensive. There is also a smaller Brother PE800 that I started with but its very limiting on what you can make on it.
