if you know java already then I'll suggest do Android development with java for few months so that you don't have to learn two things in the same time (kotlin and Android) then slowly switch to kotlin

I have a query, which is very well unrelated to this video. I am learning python. And while I know basic C,Cpp and Java, I don't feel comfortable coding in them. I have been told again and again that I should drop python and learn Cpp, for placement preparation. I don't plan on going in for competitive coding, should I learn Cpp as my main language?

Learning a language is independent to you. If you wanna do Data analysis AI ML sort of thing then keep going with Python. Else if your goals is to get job then I recommend you to pick from c++ or java as recruiting company prefer that you know anyone of this( still you can go with python but Indian company usually like c++ or java programmer) however if you wanna become data scientist, applied scientist,AI Engineer and good at statistics then python is for you..

Flutter is great but you'll have trouble finding a job requiring flutter-only right now. The bane of crossplatform development right now is that companies aren't fully prepared and can't just assess you on those, you'll need a strong platform, either web or android. And if you go the web route, you don't need flutter as flutter webapps are good but not websites, meaning they would prefer if you knew reactjs or angular or something. If you go android route then flutter can be helpful and you can leverage your native android skills with flutter but not the other way around, still they'll look for kotlin/java experience if you go for android route. As for freelancing, it may be cool but still, the end lesson here is, don't put all your eggs in 1 basket. Try to learn a platform specific fw, it only helps you in the long run.
