The downtime isn't even a problem. Yoimiya's downtime is higher but I can use her E non-stop. You're supposed to switch out characters and reset the passive of Haran (if you're using it) or like switch to set up another rotation, by the time you finish Ayato's E is back again then repeat. It's not that you're gonna use him onfield all the time.

@@jeffersonhartanto9682 yeah, realistically there’s really minimal to no downtime because even in hypercarry you need to switch out to use supports. However, even if you don’t switch out (purely theoretically speaking), the downtime is still too little to be considered severe.

Hes doing the wrong rotation Ayato's Q last long enough to start with it,this helps a lot and your burst will have 100% uptime if you have a favonious weapon on the team as well.

Ayatos downtime is perfectly fine because you can fill up your supports bursts in that 6 second period, meaning boba national (ayato,kazuha,bennet,yunjin) works in general

I think that Ayato benefits a lot from an off-field battery like Fischl and perhaps even Raiden. I'm running him as main DPS with C2 Chonghyun, C6 Yun JIn and Bennett, I am not having problems spamming his E. I put down my supports things, start slashing, when that ends I can reput most of the support's stuff and keep doing the same thing.

No you do not. Kazuha Can be used but Sucrose my work better since Kazuha needs to pick at least two elements in a vape to max dmg Ayato can go vape, Taser, Freeze and speed. I myself use a speed Taser team.

I don't really agree. But I can also see where you're coming with your take, Tenha. So far I've had an immense amount of fun and done really well with C0 Ayato (w/ Blacksword) in a Taser comp (Beidou, Fishchl, Sucrose) and Budget Freeze (Diona and Rosaria over Shenhe and Ayaka) with either Sucrose for Swirl VV or Yun Jin Burst. I may be wrong about him as well and just using him wrong in that sense. Can't wait to see what the meta community can do with him though! Especially since his burst is mega long and seems to be useful for a few characters!

From my experience, I suggest using Ayato Ult and Ayaka Skill and burst before you use Ayato skill That way it can freeze and deal 2 separate dmg from both siblings

Don't know what to say, but I have literally no downtime with Ayato. It's not even like one team either with a battery like Raiden. I literally have like 6 team comps I've been throwing Ayato in and out of, and in each one he is able to spam his Elemental Skill and Burst with zero downtime. So not really sure what Tenha is on about. I got my Ayato to C3 and with an R2 Haran (this is the first character I've ever spent money on). My Ayato absolutely hits like a truck. On average I'm landing 18 to 20k a hit. When you multiply that across 15 hits - that is absolute madness. Not to mention he is easy to get back into the rotation to try again if for whatever reason your combo doesn't take the enemy out. I know he isn't the most powerful DMG dealer in the game, but I find the speed of his attacks + his fun gameplay style to be an absolute winner. My Ganyu who is decked out with an Amos bow, does about 32k DMG a hit. But even when my Ayato does 15k a hit, he easily gets in 5 slashes in the same time frame that Ganyu gets off a single charged shot. So when you take in his overall speed and ability to spam, he actually dishes out a crazy amount of damage. I don't even have Kazuha to Swirl, or Bennet to buff - and he is still dishing out these numbers. Even crazier because I'm using the Echoes set (60% Crit Rate and 210 Crit DMG) - and it was just discovered that Echoes is broken as its roll values are severely impacted by poor ping (and I have awful ping). So I can only imagine what he'd do if I got a Gladiator's or Heart of Depth set which isn't broken by server-side dice rolls. But yeah, I'm finding Ayato is great because I can slot him into so many comps. I've been using Xiangling + Venti. I've been also using Ganyu + Shenhe + Diona + Ayato. I've also been using Raiden / Beidou (or Yae Miko) / Kokomi - for a taser team. I do have Yun Jin, so might consider putting her back into the team instead of Venti to see if her buff does a good job.

I think Ayato could work better with characters able to do continuous off-field damage and characters able buff the entire team without having to rely on long cooldowns. He can potentially work in team rotations of 12 seconds. Kazuha and Yae Miko would probably be great with him. Maybe Hoyoverse with the latest characters (like Yae Miko and Ayato) is trying to take distance from the old teams and we can expect those characters to work better mostly with recently released and upcoming characters rather than the old ones.

Honestly don't like the teams you used, because they're very energy inefficient. You can get away with 130 ER range and get his ult every cooldown in non-hyper carry teams, which is typical ER requirement for most onfield dps besides Raiden.

Why in the world do some ppl actually think there's a problem with Ayato's cooldown??????😭😭 If anything, Hu Tao & Yoimiya have longer cool downs but no one complains????? He has a 3 second lesser uptime on his skill but he basically has a 100% up time on his burst therefore ensuring 100% hydro application which makes up for his shorter skill uptime. Which btw is exactly like Ei. She has 100% uptime on electro application & a 7 second dps window. (Ofc Ayato doesn't have an explosive nuke like her but his burst does a lot more dmg than her skill anyway). Anyways, point being, his "downtime" is not a freaking issue. Switch to your other characters & set everything up for him to continue doing damage. You don't need c6 for a good Ayato dps

Using his Q first to make use of his energy recharge passive is a must to handle energy problems as well as using a favonious weapon on your only damage booster support and problem solved + you can use his E to finish enemies without needing to waste a full rotation and his cd is so low that even at half fo your rotation cd will be done his dps is bursty and consistent adding Zhongli makes his slshes more reliable o bigger enemies that are hard to stagger

bruh ayato's downtime is just like hu tao or yoimiya, you switch out when his E is on cooldown, place your buffs again or recharge your supports bursts, then swap back into ayato when his E is off cooldown and do damage with him again.

after watching tectones video, he is a main dps at c0. you're just focusing on how much damage he can produce when the game is based off support from other characters. the game runs off rotations, youre not seeing what u want because youre not cycling, nor have energy recharge. and the characters youre using arent amplifying him to produce universal damage. use fischl and yunjin instead instead of only buffers.

Team composition I found Free to Play friendly for Ayato users: AYATO, Xiangling, Bennett, Yunjin But tenha used Chongyun instead of Xiangling, and that's good too

Playing him with taser or a burst cryo dps is really fun. I used him as co dps with Raiden as well and they made abyss the easiest it's ever been.

The team your using here is only good for one rotation. Its very good for video showcases, but not optimal in the Abyss with different phases. I suggest trying out Fischl over Yunjin in this specific case. :)

@@TenhaGenshin The hyper team with Yunjin, Kazuha, Bennett. It has energy issues, but it's good for boss killing. Torgana comp has Venti who can refund 15 energy back to him, Fischl/Beidou tazer comp have good battery, and Raiden/Ayato/Kaz/Bennett overvape is also good energy.

People talk about one single damage , imagine zhongli c0 can do 100k damage But ayato's is frequent damage 35kx3 at least or maybe 5 that's 160k average

Ayato can easily be a main DPS, even at C0. Much like other characters you are supposed to switch to reset them. It's fine if you c6 your characters but plz dont make others feel like they have to.
