For anyone new: you can always proxy your cards. Go to your school or job and print out hundreds of cards because your either paying too much to be there or not getting paid enough to be there and slide them over real cards and see which decks you like.

YES absolutely do this. Proxy/ocg cards are usually lowkey allowed at most local events anyway

Totally, my old locals had the rule where you could even use a blank card without the image on it so long as you either owned an additional copy of the card or have it pulled up on your phone in the database ahead of time, no one really cares if you proxy expensive cards except the tryhards who try to shark you for using proxies because they can’t win normally

Probably the biggest issue with ygo I have as a whole is that it's way to expensive. For example I quite enjoy ygo duel links but it kinda blows that I don't have access to every card in the game. It just makes me feel very limited in deck building

I had to left duelings back in 2019 because it was starting to get ridiculous the amount of boxes they were releasing (2-3 weeks per box) and i just left and discovered edison format was a thing and i never looked back

@@E3YuGiOh Ocg cards in a format like Edison is totally fine. Now Ocg in advanced format..... That's not ok. Since Ocg version are wayyyy cheaper than their tcg counterpart.

Another good way to experience this would be Yu-gi-oh 5ds World Championship 2009: Reverse of Arcadia. It has this particular card pool and it is a fun game.

master duel hasn't even added the current TCG or OCG format, so I wouldnt count on it ever adding OTS time wizard formats. Glad you are interested! if you join the discords, there's usually a pretty big group of ppl who play regularly on duelingbook

The price doesn't bother me. Yu-Gi-Oh has always been expensive. And I just drop like 1500 bucks for a max rarity lightsworn deck.... But I view that as an investment. Where hopefully in another 10 years those cards will have appreciated further in value. But I can't justify modern era Yu-Gi-Oh prices because a lot of these decks values are determined off of not only popularity but also the ban list. What I like about Edison format cards on general is that a lot of them suck now but they hold their value quite well once you get into stuff like the ultimate rare judgment dragon and stuff like that.atter of fact..... They can really only go up in value because if Konami makes more legacy support interest in said deck picks up inflating the price even more.

In terms of investing, old format stuff is definitely more stable

I don't think spending 600 bucks on a deck that will tank in value after Konami bans it to make more money for the upcoming set is justifiable. You really have to pay attention and predict the banlist and sell everything before it gets hit.

What I expect Keegan to say on the advanced Edison guide Synchro Cat is a penis Deck. Macro Monarch is a brick fest Tele Well is based. Fiendish Chain sucks. Lightsworn actually has a 50-50 matchup against everything. Orange Light makes Fairies broken.

I notice that in some of your videos you will only play 1 or 2 of your best back row. Like only one deminsiomal fissure or only one dust tornado. I was wondering why this is and also will you be doing a deck video to show how deck building works for edison? Im very used to just playing 3 ofs for my best cards and 1 for my garnets.

This is a different format than current. I don't immediately lose the game if I don't open with one of my starters or key interactive pieces in most matchups. Often times bricking on multiples of cards that can be dead in multiples over the course of a long game is much more detrimental to your success in edison than opening a key card in the first few turns.
