the osrs wiki is actual peak. in my 20 years of video gaming, never have I seen a wiki better maintained and interconnected with a game ever. it's crazy how much we take standalone wikis for granted. "fandom wikis" are obnoxious, and some game wikis are horribly formatted. osrs wiki rocks

This is so incredibly well done. The community, and potential new community members, have needed this for a long time. The hardest part of Runescape has always been getting started. I highly recommend just buying membership with real money, having to sustain GP for a bond at a low level will feel like a chore, and the gold you can keep instead will be really beneficial to progressing your account

best comment playign for bonds takes mroe physical and mental energy then just paying 13 bucks for the month. BUying memebrship as soon as you start will give you a major advantage and literally save you hundreds of hours in skilling and training.

ye fought a clan called wg wilderness guardians with my clan twice the total of both fights was like a hour and 10 minutes. After we won i saw some of the enemy players in game skilling and we said gf and carried on. Reminded of back in 2005-2007. It’s ok to take breaks from the game. I’m back after 2 months off. You lose no progress made in membership even if you cancel your membership. A lot of other MMO’s will punish you for this, osrs doesn’t. You can pay for membership a year later and you will have lost no progress in your members skills.

Joining an active clan can be so helpful. So many people to chat with and potentially group together which I had never done in a decade of RS. I was dreading going from 62-77 prayer. A guy spent a mill and a half on dragonbones so I could get to 65 fast, and that gave me the initiative to just go the rest of the way using 1k bloodveld heads. That lead to me being able to pay it forward and help other people struggling getting a skill up.
@grandcanyon22 ай бұрын
here is a tip lvl up slayer to lvl 85, and collect seeds and bones, bury the bones and bank a full invetory when your task is done use herb sack to collect herbs. And just by that without buying any bones you will gain 1mil prayer exp about. Then sell the seeds and herbs u colelcted from 1-85 slayer, you will now have enough money to buy ensoled demon heads to get 4.5mill prayer exp or buy enough bones for 2.1mill prayer exp. Thats what i did but i realized the best way is to get high combat stats and duo bandos, easily you will make 7-8 mil a hour with a bandos partner, just have combat stats about lvl 85+, the attacker uses divine combat potions the tank is in full justicar or barrows armour gear with crystal shield and karils top.

Hey Mudkip, Love the vid, I've been watchin ya for a while and love all the content, for any of the new people he has a series I watched way back when he made them called "Maintain a bond" thats a great place to start. That was way back when bonds were only 4m but all of that content just like his new content still stays relevent because he teaches you the skills you need not just the here and now. I played way back on Miniclip and came back to OSRS shortly after it came back, made my first bond killing ogresses and mining gold it takes a really long time on f2p but once you get to members so much opens up to you. So much more of the map, Skills like hunter or fletching like shown in his old video still will make you money and is still really good, never thought I would be 2100 total lvl on main but I really love this game and would recommend anyone to get into it despite the learning curve and the point and click old style you have to get used to but for me has nostalgia lvling woodcutting only behind lumby when I was a kid and just selling to general store XD, love the vids as always man and keep up the good work.

As a new player my best advice while you're mindlessly training skills as you said is to watch a show you love. example: I watch a ton of different anime and podcasts as I'm training skills and it really does help the mundane grind and make it more entertaining. This was a great guide, I'm completely new to the game so anything I say could be considered moot, but I did notice it being a second monitor game you really should do something else to pass the time. I'm watching this video while I'm leveling combat lol. great guide and the wiki is crazy useful.

Tip from obsessed new player (lvl 1803) who started less than a year ago, this is perfect and Runlite is your best friend - but play around for a bit before you do. This game came out before modern quality of life improvements and it shows. The game requires a bit of everything to move forward and if you don’t enjoy absolutely everything you’ll be held back long-term. RuneLite helps this.

I figured I'd give this classic a try as I'm a lifelong gamer (now in my 30s) and am familiar with MMOs in general, and maybe this is a dumb question considering but...is this fun? Being able to put the game window to one side and grind a bit sounds really nice to me. Long, grindy quest-chains sounds like a great thing to chip away at from time to time. Considering how thriving the game still seems to be after all these years, not to mention the updates, it seems to be in a brilliant place. I guess what I'd like to know is how people jumping into the game late (like me) have thought about their experience so far? (Also, this was an absolutely fantastic intro for the game, I'll be coming back to this for sure! 🐐)
@ponstruck5 ай бұрын
Vet player here. It's definitely a super fun second monitor game for long grinds. It also has content that will require attention. The best part is you can do either one, or most skills allow you to do both. As for the new player experience though, I can't say. I know it can definitely seem overwhelming at first. Best part is to take it slow. The early game, mid, and end game are all a part of the experience. There is no need to rush to endgame. The grind is the game. I really suggest watching Settled's series on the game as it will give you an idea of the adventure that awaits!

I started playing as an ironman my first time playing, never played it back in the day. I think being an Ironman is super interesting and you get to experience a lot of content that most players would never see because its "not optimal" and buying things on the GE can bypass much of the game. But its also extremely annoying. Having to walk across the world to get one item sucks, world hopping to buy things like sand sucks, having to grind out slayer with shit weapons before you can kill the monsters to get good weapons sucks. I only recommend it if you like pain and suffering, otherwise you'll eventually hit a wall and stop playing
