As far as cheap monitors go, Feelworld does a great job putting tons of features in an affordable package.

After using this 2600nit monitor few a few years now I will never use anything less than 2600nut. It's just so good in bright sunlight! Yes, I know this video is from 2021 but it's still a great monitor in 2024.

Very helpful as the instructions in the box are minimal. New to monitors. When I try to preview a clip, I only get a still of the first frame. Is there a way to play back the entire clip on the monitor. My camera monitor play button is not available while monitor is on and the monitor does not seem to have a play button. Thanks!

What’s the max fps viewable on the screen? Can you load 2 LUTs at the same time, as commonly you’d have Rec. 709 + creative LUT?

Hi Garrett... Great Video! Thank You. I and a Realtor and have an iphone 14 pro max. Would the LUT6 be overkill for using it as a monitor to photograph homes and possibly video homes. I would only be using it as a field monitor/display for my iphone? Or, is there a screen you would recommend for that? Thanks for you input.

Your display is currently 6.69 inches; I see no necessity for this monitor for you, especially with the iPhone 14 Pro Max not supporting Log footage.

@garrettsammons hey just wondering how to get the SDI signal to the LUT6s monitor. Im plugging in a SDI feed to mine with no result, its saying HDMI no signal in the top right corner, should it auto detect or do i need to switch it to SDI somehow? Cheers

I have some problems. When I do a pan from left to right or viceversa I see a like a bad compression In the image, like little drips. Then when I connect my camera by SDI in 4 k the monitor can not show the image. When I connect my camera by HDMI the monitor show me the video with any problem. Could some one here confirm this? @naps1saps3 жыл бұрын
If you're remote off camera, get a bigger monitor. On camera 7" was good enough for me but seemed too big sometimes unless you have a big rig. 6" should be ok if you're a one man show.

Great presentation! Thank you! 💕 so I assume your media is recorded to the internal cards in the camera? Does to apply any of the Luts to your Video? Or does it just show you a preview of what your output might be after processing on the computer and applying the Luts in post? Thanks 😊

You can load luts in for previewing, but definitely recording in camera. Nothing is applied to the video.

I have a question regarding using this with the RED Komodo. The Komodo outputs up to 12G SDI (4K) but this monitor only inputs 3G SDI (1080). Will it still work with the Komodo? The monitor only displays 1920 x 1080 anyway so I guess 4K 12G is not any use anyway. Or am I wrong?
@garrettsammons2 жыл бұрын
You’re right. It’ll work just fine with this monitor. The Komodo should automatically adjust its output settings to match, but if it doesn’t, there’s menu settings to down res output to 1080p
@Karlabacken2 жыл бұрын
Great thanks for the answer. And this has nothing to do with what resolution you record in camera right? I mean if I shoot in 6K on the Komodo. It has nothing to do with the output SDI being 3G or 12G?

Thank you for this detailed review! Every feature explained thoroughly. I've been trying for a couple of weeks to find which monitor can print LUTs to the output. Almost no review mentions it. And it's an important feature if you want to record flat and stream live with a standard rec709 profile. So just to make sure, can the LUT be applied to any of the outputs? Both HDMI and SDI? Thanks!

What would be very useful is if the lut was looped through to the HDMI output which I took for granted but it´s not. I was planning to use it for my three BMPCC and my Atem mini to get a rec 709 feed out of the Atem mini but no luck it wont work. To bad cause I got a ton of old vintage lenses for my pocket cams that I wanted to see what they would look ljke in a livestream. I´ll probably take it back to the store

I'm fairly disappointed with the monitor. I feel like I had to fiddle around with the colors and brightness / contrast a lot until it more closely resembled what I see on my FX6 monitor and even still it's not that accurate. My biggest gripe, though, is that highlights will literally burn away on this monitor while I can still see them on my FX6 monitor. Really don't know if I'm using this thing wrong or if something is up with my unit or that's just how cheap monitors are.
@garrettsammons8 ай бұрын
If you are using preview luts in monitor, those are displayed in 8-bit so it’s definitely a crunchy image. This is true with most production monitors until you get to the more industry standard stuff
@NikHem3438 ай бұрын
@@garrettsammons Thanks for your answer! I've got the LUTs installed in-camera, so the monitor gets the 1:1 feed from my FX6. I supposed this is the "cleanest" process, am I mistaken?
