In order to create the ancient hero's soul, you need the set item containing MU continent's soul as a combination material for the general combination by NPC chaos goblin.

Hyon, Vicious Dragon
Enis, Anubis Legendary
Auruan, Gaiwen (except weapon),
Gaion, Muren, Atlans/Storm Crow
Semeden, Crono, Night Wing
Vega, Chamers, Sacred
Season 15 Added:
Akhir, Camil
Vesper's Night Wing
Molosos' Nightwing
More ancient list to come since we are now in Season 15.
