I may have missed it but is this set for 8 or 10 frame hives? You might like to add eye hooks to the outside of each 2x6 under each hive for tie down straps...

I'm curious if you wrote down the instruction any where that I can reference back to? Also, I'm a new bee keeper and only have two hives. Should I change the deminsions?

Enjoyed the video, however, in the future use screws rated for decking and consider using construction adhesive instead of the glue. Since you have already painted the glue you used will be of minimum help(if any). Keep on keeping on,

After the broodbox it sure is gonna get harder lifting supers on and off on a stand that high. I shortened mine after first stand build on subsequent stands. My back appreciated the change.

The stand looks a little tall. Can you see in when you have stacked boxes ?

Do you have written plans for the folks who don't have time to go through the whole video again?

Hey David. Great video. My only recommendation is to make sure you use decking screws designed for pressure treated wood. Do not use drywall screws in the future. They are not designed for outdoor use and the chemicals in the pressure treated wood will eventually eat away at the uncoated drywall screws and weaken them. Other than that, great job!!!

These are great looking stands but I cannot work the middle hives...too awkward. And even the end positions aren't great if you are wanting to co-beekeep. Over time I have gone to stands that take a single hive, and this design, done for singles would work well.

I don't know what your vision for your hives are but if you go with double brood boxes and add more than two honey supers...you're going to need a ladder.

I believe he used the 18 inch height recommended for skunks, I started using 12 inch block and I'm a lot happier with the lower height on a double deep and one honey super.

Torx screws would not need predrilled also easier on tools
