Just so you know. Those little white filters go onto the burp valve so you don't get any junk sprayed into the pot when you release the vacuum.

Thanks for the video! I have been looking into purchasing a vacuum chamber. Looking on Amazon, I found the kit you purchased, with an acrylic lid and a 3.6 cfm pump. They also offer a three gallon chamber with a glass lid and a 4.5 cfm pump for $30.00 more. Would there be any advantage to buying this kit over the kit you purchased?

Would've never thought that moisture can collect in the plastisol like that, fun fact the bubbles that you see in the cup are actually moisture that is in fact boiling, any moisture under vacuum will boil and evaporate which is why it works so good, but im sure you knew that already, this comment is more for your viewers lol great job there, i wonder if ill ever be able to make baits myself...

Along with a quality injector the degas chamber was a great investment as I started to make baits. From my experience use the rubber mat it helps keep cups from moving while shaking the pot. Also orient the burp valve opposite you cups to minimize splashing while burping. I have a long enough hose on my pump to place it on top of my microwave directly under my vent hood. Great stuff Chris keep us informed!

Im an commercial HVAC tech and I use vacuum pumps regularly. I was wondering how often you change the oil in your pumps? Not changing the oil will give them a short life. The oil should be changed pretty regularly because it has an affinity for moisture. Also what cfm is your pump? Mine is a dual stage 10 cfm and I think its a lot of pump for this application but I can hook up my guages with it and have valves to control the speed of the vacuum
