​@@maxstr It comes off narcissistic, I would have been okay if CR had himself as some run of the mill background ship designer who designed ships in chris' preferred aesthetic for scifi, but being so important to the origins of humanity's space flight comes off like masturbating to oneself. Which is sad, because as much as the overall vision of the SC universe is full of expies (ship brands, the UEE, other corporations etc) to current real world or historical version, the lore team has done a great job at filling in the back story to where they don't feel as like expies anymore. You can't do the same with the CEO's name being directly involved in the origin story. He would have been better off using a pseudonym for the character, much like how the Hurston's are an expy for the Rockefellers of the American Industrial Revolution but in space. I hope CIG retro-cons this.

Props to you for doing this! I take it you'll fill in the alien backstories etc when they become relevant? Like the "Spirit Wars" between the Xi'an and Kr'thak. There's also some human historical context like Vasil Levski.

As much as I can as long as it doesn't interupt the flow. I think CIG might be leaving the fleshing out of the alien species for in game discovery. So this is mostly going to be a human perspective for this run but as I said in the end of the video I'll be doing additions to insert between episodes or elaborate as we go on.
