No walls caused isolation issues. Poor isolation make goods spoil faster. Antpeople need only clay and stone which are literally dirt cheap to get. Therefore you dont feel the need to worry about the decay as much as for other races that would consume way more furniture

Actually footprints of different houses are the same if you make them double or more. For example 2 houses next to each other (10 people) have the same footprint as longhouse but there are 2 doors on different side. In all cases it's 3 squares per person. They look bigger when you build them as standalone because of walls, but if you building house complex with shared walls, all of them are the same as fro squares per person. So the reason to build houses or apartments is simply that they allow you to have doors in a direction you want or much more the shape you want (I personally avoid making everything square or rectangular), they more costly but i find that very minor thing.

What about the upgrades for the houses?
@Ic0nGaming6 ай бұрын
I forgot them, I'm sorry! They are researchable upgrades for citizen capacity, I didn't find anything else special about them (yet).

Regarding upgrades, apartments get +1 housing spot per upgrade, houses +2 and longhouses +4, which brings them to a total of 5, 9 and 18. I don't remember if it increases the maintenance cost though

@@KaptifLaDistillerie To build the basement you need cut stones and something else that I don't remember, so I would imagine that the upkeep for an upgarded house would reflect in the maintenance of it.

@@Ic0nGaming Hey there, nice content. Just to mention, there is a cheese about housing and science. You could research basements, make all improvements, and then just forget housing tech to recollect science points.
