I want to highlight that her disorder options being better than her mono-fire/crit-based builds is in spite of a lack of units that are both highly synergistic as well as extremely strong in their own right. Caution, Leak Speculation in the last paragraph. Jane is a top tier unit, but can absolutely pull her weight as a hypercarry without the need for disorders or second DPS. Disorder on Assault is pretty underwhelming and not needed to keep up momentum. Piper has special synergy with M6 Lucy propping her up, but she has the same problems as Jane and is an A-Rank mainbanner unit. Grace has great synergy with Burnice, but just can't match Janes raw power output or her sustainability. This does not mean any of these comps are bad. It merely means that current Disorder Burnice is still performing beneath her potential, and yet, is already doing better even in a flawed disorder comp environment compared to anything else. Once that changes, and it will soon, given Yanagi is already confirmed to be a DOT-Anomaly char, with leaks indicating her to be all about causing disorder, it's gonna be very grim for Mono-Fire Burnice builds.

You can still use either full AP or a mixed of crit/AP on Burnice even with Yanagi as, ideally, you'd build over one bar of burn anomaly before swapping to Nagi so you can chain disorders back to back. The only thing holding Burnice back is how slow burn ticks, her damage modifiers are great

This isnt necesarily true, phys disorder multiplier is 713% while disorder on flinch is 450% base which isnt too bad. Plus disorder does daze damage so, triggering disorder on flinch means extra daze, so higher stun uptime. Even frozen enemies can help give crit hybrid burnice extra crit damage. Also note electric weak enemies are also often resistant to fire. Its counter intuitive for yanagi/burnice to work well together.

Yanagi essentially has no one to pair up with now. I would've pulled Burnice for my Grace-Rina lineup, but now I'm gonna hold my pulls and use them down the line.

@@ProtoTypeFM from a different perspective ive heard that the fire electric pair essentially allows your team to have wide coverage. If your electric unit is performing 20% better and fire unit doing 20% worse its a net even. Its highly unlikely to have both element be resisted. I think burnice is still good as a unit that enable disorder team comps. Disorder damage is a portion of previous anomalys damage + 450%. That 450% is based off of the previous units stats not the one procting the disorder itself. Which means you essentially proct a mini assualt while ignoring the ICD. So essentially burnice can enable any anomaly character access to a 450% multiplier that they weren't able to access before. Which is still huge.

the main turn off for building ap/crit burnice is the amount of godlike substat investment you'll need to make it work. not to mention you'll need her signature engine as well. if you love burnice and will only use her for the foreseeable future then might as well go for it but for the average player that wants to play other characters, it doesn't seem realistic

For highest afterburn damage you want a crit-hybrid build. Highest proc I have had has been around 110k, so 1 rotation (11 procs) can get close to 800k-1mil damage. Burn gets to around 780k over 13 seconds (depending on ur build ofc). Overall it's close, but Disorder wins out with a full AP build

ive been really trying to compare roaring ride r2 vs weeping gemini r5 on m1 burnice on current shiyu critical node 6 .. and it seems way easier to get faster clear times with roaring ride due to now having so much anomaly buildup with M1 +AM slot 6 + roaring ride setup despite having bigger afterburn numbers (and also disorder numbers) on weeping gemini r5.. but thats on the floor 6 shiyu defense against jane doe.. I think the very frequent disorder procs maybe kinda reach some thresholds that made it way faster also it saves me some energy with how fast her ex-skill burns jane doe resulting on way faster rotations. but usually its generally pretty close like the runs with both RR and WG engines floats on average about 1:02 mins clear time for me.. with my highest on RR being 0:56, on WG being 0:58. not sure how much difference from r2 to r5 would matter tho.. well its just my runs.. maybe its because of mindscape 1. I guess on way tankier bosses.. the bigger disorder procs on WG might be the difference of a clear and a sliver of health I guess.. on a side note.. i find myself still using jane doe's ult more than burnice's on AP build with m1..

Think anomaly will have a big edge over crit with the current anomaly and upcoming disorder focus but when Hoyo decide it’s time to kill off anomaly for being a big early focus, like DoT in HSR, it’s good to know she can fall back on a crit build and still be useable. I love you! I only started like 2 Weeks ago and just want a Team that enables my Jane. I got her lucky after starting this Game, since then i didnt had one character who was police force or anomaly. I didn't even got Seth besides the fact he was in the same Banner like her. xD Last days i even created an Reddit post to get some opinions about playing Caesar or Lucy in Jane/ Burnice Team. That Reddit Post was like Hell, half of it said Caesar is so much better and the other Half said Lucy is better. So that Reddit post got me exactly where i started. XD After seeing this Video i will probably save my wishes and make sure to get burnice and her weapon, hopefully i get some lucys with it cause i only got her once from the Event mentioned in youre video. ^^ I know you mentioned it already but in a Burnice lucy team but would you say the rocketboo is better than the red moccus boo? Burcnice/ Lucy are dual Fire but also Calydon based team or did i get Calydon based team wrong? ^^

I've found that ZZZ is the hardest game for deciding who to skip out of all the Hoyo games. There isn't major powercreep yet but every unit released so far is as strong or slightly stronger than any unit before, with zero duds and no signs of this changing.

So much good insight from this video, thank you! I'm very torn on whether to try to get Caesar's or Burnice's engine (I'm close to the 75/25 from picking up some A-rank engines). I really enjoy both characters and will be saving after anyways. Caesar seems like nice value as a team buff and more general use unit but as a psuedo-support I'm not sure it's as impactful as an engine for a DPS character would be. On the other hand Caesar doesn't really have good alternatives, currently running an A-rank stun engine just for the impact-%, while Burnice seems to have some other decent options. I would appreciate anyones thoughts on this!

Caesar will have better generic value, usually at least, will also still depend on your account. If you have another weapon option for Burnice, I think caesar weapon might be the better investment

Yes. It helps for the first burn, but the uptime is very low on it and afterburn will contribute most of the anomaly while she is off-field, which leads to an overall lower burn damage for any subsequent burns. Also AM isnt really that needed on her as far as I am concerned.

There is no reason to use burnice ult if you are playing jane/piper disorder. Getting close to another assault is way better for dps. Also nakfrg posted a video saying burnice has no energy problems whatsoever, what do you think of that? Also as a newer play I do not understand fully how PEN Ratio works, when enemy has low def does it become useless?

Yea, I did not notice large energy issues on burnice either, which is also why I said you dont really want to build ER on her, but if you feel like you need ER, you CAN use a 2pc swing jazz and only lose out on around 5% dmg. However, that is given the 70 start energy from shiyu!

How much worse actually is mono-fire Burnice? Are these competitive options or just something one can consider if current Disorder teams aren't on the table? Unsure if the damage values listed for the different disk sets is reflective of their actual performance difference (ie 1.86mil vs 1.26mil).

I can clear Shiyu Disputed 7 with Crit Burnice, Koleda, Main DPS Lucy in ~35 seconds. Shiyu Disputed 8 in about 45 seconds. If you care solely about S-Clears it is competitive. If you care about best possble performance, it is behind a full AP team (which also is the case because S11 is just not the greatest fire dps and we dont have many other options)

@@iamrivenous Thanks for the fast reply, I knew it would be somewhat behind just via unit quality vs multi-limited Disorder comps but I was worried the gap might be larger than let on. That's more than competitive enough to feel fine about I think. On the topic of DPS Lucy though, is she still running Swing Jazz via being paired with a support or is she also club Inferno Metal? Been interested in the same exact team.

Ap-Crit build is a torture to build. Crit and AP main is both on 4 so either one need to be crack roll on sub.

Just curious, what u seem to be putting out here seems to be slightly different from Mr.Pokke's video in terms of w-engine recommendations... He's recommending Roaring rides as an F2P alternative while urs seems to be showing roaring ride as the worst W-engine for her. Thoughts?

Yes, I am aware of Pokkes recommendarion, but I heavily disagree. Roaring Ride helps for the first burn, but the buff uptime is very low and it is only triggered by EX Specials. Unfortunately Afterburn does not count as EX special damage. However, afterburn WILL contribute most of the anomaly while she is off-field , which leads to an overall lower burn damage for any subsequent burns past the first one as burnice is missing out on a lot of the W-Engine stats. The contribution will always vary between each burn, but Afterburn should do a solid 40-70% and not having Roaring Rides stat boosts for a good chunk of that can hurt the total burn damage massively which in turn then also lowers disorder damage as well.

Thanks for the info. In a grace team, should I keep my fusion compiler on grace, or would it benefit more to put it on burnice? WOuld the swap (or lack thereof) still be worth the whatever the other options are left for that character?

IMO Fusion Compiler is better on Grace than Burnice, especially since Burnice has many other great options, even more so for disorder

The comparison on the left includes disorder procs, which inherently increases damage dealt, whereas the comparison on the right does not include these (which in turn again lowers overall damage dealt)

As someone with M2 Grace, think AM is definitely better than ATK% for Burnice if I plan on giving Burnice R5 Weeping Gemini and just grabbing Fusion Compiler for Grace from the shop?

Yes, Grace and Burnice can reliably proc disorder more often than jane + burnice can which makes AM much more valuable

Yo, could you clarify Burnice's interactions with snapshotting (I believe is what it's called) a bit? Does the Scorch damage update with buffs received after the application? Does her ult make use of Caesar's buff ever after switching out?

Yes, Scorch will update to new buffs applied after the initial application (nakfrg shows the interaction while testing other snapshotting stuff). I don't know the latter, but I would assume not because of the former and because Caesar buffs do not apply off-field.

nakfrg shows that Burnice does not snaphsot Caesar's Ult buff nor Nicole's Def Shred debuff. Lucy's Cheer On team wide buff is snapshotted by Burnice's Scorch tick application, however.
