Article 263 contemplates the establishment of an inter-state council to effect coordination between the states and between centre and states, since it is deriving its power from article 263 rather than any law made by parliament so its constitutional body

Yes,inter state council is a constitutional body as u earlier said our constitutional had some provision regarding the formation of inter state council since 1950. So,it might be a constitutional body, however I'm not sure about this.

Inter state council is a non permanent constitutional body formed by presidential order on the recommendation of sarkaria commission on the basis of the provisions in article 263 of the constitution

21:58 I think that inter state council body is a constitutional body ... because the committee members are prime minister , chief minister, cabinet minister and also ..... They are also headed by a secretary to the government of India. And when it is constitutionally amended so definitely it is a constitutional body.......And it doesn't require that they met ,if there is no requirement of that and no disputes in any of state so they met or not🚫 so I think it is definitely a constitutional body.......😊 if anything else u may comment on it😂 Thankyou 😊

I guess its not, because PM is member of NITI Aayog too, but it is not a constitutional body. It is a constitutional body because it is mentioned in Art. 263 of the constitution.

@@Sam-tf2sn I mean, Inter-State Council is a constitutional body but it is not permanent kind, President can establish it any time when it appears to him that it will serve the purpose of public interest. And as you say, PM is the member of this council so it must be a constitutional body, this is not the case, PM is the chairman of NITI Aayog also but it ain't the constitutional body as it was made by executive resolution.
