I cant imagine how much work has to be done on a day to day basis in those shopping malls. A lot of stuff to take care of in those places.

Would have loved this when I used to work in retail. 👍🏻

I would love this. I work at my family’s local grocery store and I do the pricing which includes managing the shelf tags. This seems great and takes away some of the risk for error that exists between changing the price in the main computer and putting up the new shelf tag.

Sure, but it's not convenient if you have specific software (thought, every store in the world actually has), as in my case: daughter has small shop, the program is very unique (it has not only cashier job, but as well accounting, bookkeeping, various outputs for tracking purposes as, which products has good sale, on which days etc), so, we have our database (only one file in SQL format). When we receive goods, and make calculations, final output is just simple pdf file with all details (but it can be textual file, or Excel table). Our problem is that we need to transfer the certain data from our output file, into the software of this e-ink price tag. And that's it.

@@ppilje E-ink is simply a tool designed to replace traditional paper price tags. Its main function is to display information, reducing labor costs and making the process of changing price tags more intelligent and straightforward. As for the product prices and related details, those still need to be manually input. Of course, you can also ask the seller if there's a suitable API available to meet your needs.

Have these in my store works great but they break so easy and customers always smash them off the front ends

Energy storage on these labels? Batteries, supercaps from solar? Or continuous low-power charging wirelessly?

eink almost doesn't need power unless it's refreshing the screen. an e-tag can last for 5-10 years without recharging.

So what happens when a shopper drags their trolley along the price tag strip? Considering it's sticking out 5-10mm...and who's paying for getting sued when some idiot bumps and cuts their arm on these?

I assume these take batteries? I love the concept however the thought of having to change 40,000 batteries pushes me back some. I assume there is a solution for this?

Hi Austin, Yes, these are driven by batteries. Electronic shelf labels (ESL) are used for many in-store tasks such as price management but also fast replenishment, geo-positioning, product information or inventory. Pricer’s solution is the one with the longest battery life. You can read more here: www.pricer.com/products/technology/superior-battery-life /Pricer
