Realizing that apps get weird at times I removed the current app and reinstalled the new 20.1, then The Crew add-on and everything was working fine when I turned off the TV. Hi Tanya I have tried to download Kodi builds I’m using kodi 20.1 when I get to Kodi Add-on repository i get a pop up saying could not connect to repository I have tried a few times but get the same message have I missed something or do I need to change something for it to work. Kodi on fire tv 4k max, works terribly bad, video freezes (h264/h265), switch works fine normal firetv 4k and firetv Lite. The only way to correct the problem is to disable graphics acceleration, but this limits the video to 720p. Fire tv 4k max is not recommended for kodi.

I was not aware this was an issue on the 4K Max. I can't say that I have noticed this issue personally, however, thanks for sharing. If others also have the issue, please comment below and hopefully these steps will help to resolve the issue for you. * To disable hardware acceleration open Kodi and go to Settings > Player > Click the BASIC cog at the bottom left of the screen until it changes to ADVANCED or EXPERT > Tap up to VIDEOS > Over on the right, tap down to the PROCESSING header and turn off ALLOW HARDWARE ACCELERATION (turn off both if more than 1 option). * You can also turn off 4K links inside of individual addons. How to get to the settings may vary depending on the addon, but generally, try these steps: Open the addon > Tools (or Settings) > Filters > change maximum quality from 4K (2160) to 1080 or 720.
