Rui is a ranged character, so the trade off is less damage than characters like Akaza/Nezuko in their combos. It wouldn’t be fair if he was able to Akaza level damage from a distance with webs. That’s why we have archetypes in fighting games

nah, akaza tilt assist looks like it'll just power through into a full combo. use that move into needle compass. even if he does do the tilt assist he still might get hit because of the tracking but that move definitely might be good against water wheel or the super armor one might even be better against water wheel

@@rickyric7039 you will see. Both are the only one with range stuff. That alone makes them better then the rest. Rui has more range but is weaker Akaza has broken dmg AND a bit spam of range. Maybe counters or other techs will balance this out, but till then and till you mastered it AND the demon Player DONT know how to evade the counters THEN it looks fine lol atleast for me

I originally pre-ordered the ps4 version and then saw Globku's review of the game for each console, saw the input delay and immediately canceled my pre-order bought a ps5 version of the game and ordered myself a ps5. I've been waiting a couple weeks now and my ps5 is out for delivery as we speak. It's funny because a CC2 game was why I upgraded to the ps4 many years ago (Ultimate Ninja Storm 4).

For me that wouldn´t be reason enough to drop a show and most of the time they aren´t in a city, but more the forest (at least the first season). Honestly all the characters In demon slayer hinokami chronicles are easy to learn from a fighting game standpoint. Frame data for combos is very forgiving and requires little muscle memory. Most of the skill is not the characters imo but the actual universal mechanics like push dodging dashing etc. I honestly think zenitsu is a easier character to learn with his sidestep being good, and his special being an ez punish tool with its startup frames.

2 things: 1) CPU matches are just as important for showcase as PVP matches, I mean we saw some important stuff right here too. And 2) regarding Rui, it's not uncommon for a Zoning character to have low damage output because his projectiles are very hard to deal with. Akaza seems as a freestyle versatile character who can play both Zoning and Rushdown so his damage is higher. It's just how competitive fighting games work.

you have to find a way to get close to him. it may sound annoying, but in my opinion some of the fun of playing the game is learning how each character works and how to defend against them. i’m sure Rui won’t be broken because so far CC2 gave us a pretty balanced roster, so i have my hopes up.

Hype. The lariat is a lot more like a cross between Shinobu's tilt special and Thunder clap & flash imo. Akaza gets all the benefits they both would with no direct draw back to the attack: Fast dash, minimal scaling (2hit), yellow combo starter. Nobu has this but the dash is slow & she has bad damage to compensate. Zen's TCF-> DP starts a strong red combo for 2 bars. ⚖️ Akaza looks S tier. He can get in multiple ways, do heavy damage, has a projectile, self heal and likely is a guard break monster with the multi hit and pursuit specials for nullifying push block. Rui seems low A at first glance. Zoning alone sets him apart, lord forbid we find high damage combo routes for PROJECTILE hit confirms. There are plenty of characters that can deal with projectiles tho

In his surge mode rui will be a monster because you can throw all night long his range attacks and cancel them into each other. Just noticed this on a second watch through but when activating surge for demons they heal a massive amount of hp and they also get regen. Akaza is already broken for the sheer pressure he has and Rui has much to be seen. But these demons have many reasons to prioritize surge over ultimates
