I play tons of other games that are pay to win but they don’t block F2P to the extent this game does. I don’t think you understand what I mean. I’m not quitting the game or even saying that should make everything free to make it fair, I’m saying denying a F2P road at all or even allowing some F2P teams as counters is extremely damaging to the health of the game. Spending on the game is one thing but the amount you have to spend on this game is ridiculous. It’s literally a cash cow that refuses to give any milk. Progression games only work so long as you keep the progression even. These power spikes we have seen are far from it and can be extremely damaging to the game. Look at the roll out of CAT. The only requirements was hard grinding in Conquest and you got a full 7 star boss character. They don’t do that anymore. These GL journeys are a joke anymore (literally Kenobi being the easiest one by a long shot). I’m tired of this company doing the bare minimum and is having to accept it cause “it’s a gacha game”. There are tons of mobile games that have companies that care and work with the community yet this one seems to want to punish its community every single time. It might have to do with time. Look at JKR requirements and then compare them to DR requirements. DR’s are steeper and the main difference is that HK-47 was a day one character. It appears that requirements get steeper with the age of the oldest required character (character power as well) Your third eye is probably bang on since all GLs have required day one characters.

Nope the next GL will be Han Solo (Han Solo) and will require every Han and every Chewbacca at r8 and every Millennium Falcon. He will have the ability "I always shoot first" which will give him auto first attack that kills any non GL and allows him to go again immediately if a non gl was defeated by this attack. It will have a cool down of 0, and whenever an opposing gl is hit by this attack adds 1 to all cool downs of the gl hit. Cannot be resisted or evaded.

Tarkin really makes sense as he was a key component in Sidious influencing Anakin and separating him from the jedi order. We see it that he argues with Tarkins ideals when they first meet but slowly starts to agree the more they're around each other. Tarkin also being privy to the sith plan prior to it's execution as well as knowing who Vader was in his past is a big thing in the OT.

CG fully intended the playerbase to have to CHOOSE which GL they want, and designed it so that it's hard to get more than one, LET ALONE ALL OF THEM. I have a GL, and am going for Vader next, but I understand the design philosophy. They've mentioned this several times, so Idk why anyone is mad. There's these things called inflation, and power creep, and that's what happens to mobile gacha games. Accept it, or go play a less P2W type game. 😂

What I am saying is that any other gotcha which people sink thousands of hours and are willing to pay money for the new content as Arnold (long live the empire) does for our entertainment pleasure, would have fully upgraded everything. This does not excuse CG for their egregious prices on resources. I have never seen a gotcha games as ridiculous with its pricing model as SWGOH. Where people have calculated that if you buy a galactic legend with only money it would cost you at least $10,000. That doesn't even include the resources to upgrade the galactic legend after that. That is what I am referring to. Now granted, a lot of people wouldn't be starting from nothing but that is ridiculous. But its starwars and people will pay for it. And yes there is TECHNICALLY nothing unethical about it... but oof.

@@berethor014 I definitely think it's unethical, but have accepted it. Like I said, I highly doubt it's CG, and it's more likely EA and Disney who push them on the microtransations front. Obviously CG benefits from it, but they probably get such a small cut of those billions they make. Enough to be content, sure, but if CG was its own independently owned company, I'm almost positive their pricing wouldn't be so outrageous. CG is the company that gives us the cool content, and free stuff on Star Wars Day, and designs the fun gameplay. EA and Disney are the companies that make random loot bundles with low drop rates, and shove them in. CG plays ball, because they profit, and get to continue their game. What developer wouldn't want their game to last as long as something like World of Warcraft. To me it's a worthy tradeoff. I definitely didn't pay 10k for my GL, and I only started playing Nov 2019 lol. You just have to be smart with your roster building and GP management. I wish I had watch guides about rosters and GP management when I first started. Would've saved me a lot of headache, and wasted grinding.

While the levels required for Tarkin and Dooku suck I think it is likely in part due to them also being required for SEE so for quite a few it is a bit extra rather than a whole new farm to those levels. If you went SEE route already then the pain is quite a bit lower than otherwise and if not then it covers part of the SEE farm anyway. Still OTT though but can see why they did this, at least for Dooku. Anyway, I would guess that going forward any requirement that is already a requirement elsewhere is going to require boosted relics and (hopefully) entirely new ones maybe lower.

I honestly would much rather watch Ahnald play lord Vader then grind for getting the requirements cause I think watching his videos feel more enjoyable then playing swgoh cause he can explain what to expect with certain characters

So I have been after GAS for almost a year now (yes i am very slow because my starter team was phenoex and made other mistakes too) and my plan was to go after Lord Vader since I already have (and will soon have) a pretty good amount of requirements. After a while I had to calculate with r8 so my plan was to save up some money and when the time has come whalo on that 1 maybe on those 2 relic 8's. And now my plan is that 5 years grind for req then beg myself to a guild that do CRancor for the time I get those relics so I dont have to sell my house for Lord Vader.

I agree with you on Ashoka and Rex not being requirements because they were important to Anakin. Where basically every GLs requirements were characters that were important to them (EX; Veteran Han for SLKR and Qui-Gon for JMK) i don’t even think Anakin and Nute even met in person until he was sent to kill the separatist leaders. And like you said, Embo and Anakin barely knew each other.

If you've been playing for 5 years and can't, AT THE VERY LEAST, Red Crate Conquest for R8 materials, you've built your roster wrong. 🤦 You might likely need a new guild.

Lord Vader is going to he my first GL. I'm only 3mil GP and he's by far my favorite character in the universe so I had to get him. He was announced just days after I got general skywalker. But im afraid these relic 8 requirements are gonna really bust my journey up since my guild can't beat the rancor challenge raid. I've already relic 5'd a tusken raider theres no turning back.

The relic 8 ARC trooper is a meme just to spite Cubs and I love it. Also, that title is going to be outdated in 6 months. It looks like it is studio policy to push higher requirements/recommendations the longer a required character is in the game (unit power partially) And since all GLs have required a day one or close to day one character, the requirements are only going to get steeper. That’s where your relic 3s, 4s and 5s have gone. 6s and higher are going to be the bare minimum given enough time.
