Story time about why dances traumatize me now : So I’m 7th grade(I’m in Highschool now) I made a friend let’s call him Taylor so Taylor and I had the same English class which was my 7th period so we could hang out a lot and we almost instantly became friends. I started to grow feelings for him and it seemed like Taylor was to but boy was I wrong😑 . I told my bestie about it let’s call her Mia so I told Mia about my crush Andddd about a couple months later I told Taylor I liked him. He didn’t say no or yes but he just didn’t say anything and just sent me a video. Weird but ok ig. Anyway it was never really brought up again UNTIL MIA STARTED DATING TAYLOR!! I was heart broken but I just ignored my feelings and told my self I didn’t like him anymore. BOY WAS I WRONG. So about a month or two later I started dating a guy who was a year older but we were in the same pe. He was SOOO TOXIC but the Valentine’s Day dance was coming up so he asked me and ofc I said yesss. The funny thing is he new I loved art so in the middle of the bleachers where all of the other pe kids were watching as he gave me the drawing of myself and asked if I would go with him. At the time I ofc said yes but anywayyyy. It was the night of the dance and I saw Mia and Taylor so I walked up to them and said hi. Then as I was hanging with my friends I went in the cafeteria were the dance was and there was a corner of ppl screaming. I looked and I saw Mia and Taylor kissing.👏👏👏 yay. I ran out of there crying to the girls bathroom when my friends came after me and fixed up my makeup. I went back out and I sat at the bench crying bye myself. Some ppl came up and asked if I was ok and I told them what happened. Then my bf came up to me and asked me what’s wrong I broke up with him and told him why and he started crying and left to the bathroom. Oh it’s GETS WAY MORE JUICY! Then my EX BF CAME UP TO ME WITH TWO SODAS AND SAT DOWN WITH ME TO HELP ME. I swear that boy is so kind but anywho. Then he left and then Mia came up to the table. I told her what happened and she was oh so guilty. Then as they left my other friends came to the table. And then I looked at the end of the table… TAYLOR WAS THERE THE WHOLE HECKING TIME I WAS SOBBING!!! I SPRINTED to the bathroom in tears of embarrassment and shame as all ten or twelve of my friends lured me out of the bathroom and we had fun the rest of the night. I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT ME AND MY FRIEND DROVE TO THE DANCE WITH TAYLOR AND HIS FRIEND SO ON THE WAY HOME WE DIDNT SPEAK TO EACH OTHERR!!😭😭 this story still haunts me. FOLLOW UPPP. My friend was going through her contacts to see who we should prank call and she had Taylor’s number so I stole it and pranked him but I soon just told him who I was and we just talked. This was November of 2022 and I got him a basketball for him as a gift. One night we stayed up talking till one in the morning just asking basic questions like what’s ur fave color etc. next morning I get a text from his phone from his gf saying I need to back off and calling me all sorts of names. I didn’t know he had a gf but I didn’t like him anymore I just wanted to mend our friendship. Then he blocked me and we haven’t talked since. Also if that is u seeing this I covered ur name so I would out u and I apologize lol😅

To go along with the story-time compilation I have a story time of my own. So, it all started at the beginning of my year in seventh grade. no one really knew each other, and we were kind of all just still learning Each other’s names. And at this point it’s around 8 AM, 9 AM and I’m in my first period art class. This girl who was assigned to sit at me, and my friend’s table for art class starts talking to us. At the time I did not know this, but later on in the year, I learned she was one of the popular girls. all of a sudden she randomly told me out of nowhere. Hey my friend. Let’s call him Karl, likes you and has a crush on you. And me being the 12-13 year old girl who seeked validation, I was of course ecstatic. But I tried not to show it and just brushed it off and said oh, ok I think I might know who he is. His name was unusual, and I had never heard of it before, so I was trying to match it to his face. but like I said, it was the beginning of year and I didn’t know everyone’s names yet. So I get to my last period class and people start shouting his name. Aka his friends, who were also popular. So eventually, I found out who he was. Also, Since I didn’t know his personality yet I was trying to gather in my mind how I saw about him. I didn’t think he was particularly attractive, but I was very desperate for validation, so I’d take anything at this point. periodically throughout my last period classes his friends start teasing me about how I like him. At one point, one of his friends, even thought we were dating and said that Karl said we were dating. because he friended me on Snapchat and we were talking I thought that meant he must like me because I had zero dating experience prior. so I told his friend that me and Karl we’re just friends and not dating, because I wanted to clear up the rumors. so of course me and Karl start falling off with our conversations, he leaves me on delivered for two days straight and I get really upset. Because to me it seems like I failed in the first stage of dating and I was low-key delusional at the time and though three minutes was a long time to be on delivered for. In the moment I’m hanging out with my very best friend of five years, I told this to her, and she gets angry at him. she was like here I’m going to type something up to send to him maybe he’ll respond. I was like ok, just please be nice I thought she was going to type something up like respond and spam it a few times. But instead she types up, “respond bitch.” I forgot to mention that previously me and my friend had posted a picture of us on my story so the timelines added up. of course, this one time that my friend decided to type up something rude he responds. calls her insults, and is just rude about the situation. He completely cussed her out, my friend acknowledges immediately that what she did was wrong and says that she’s sorry and apologizes numerous times. I tell her it’s ok and that, “I’m honestly not that upset about it.” I feel bad for her, so I create this whole fake story that I had a different friend named Hilda who goes to a different school which was probably a very easy fake story to figure out. So, send it to him he never responds after the fight. At this point, I feel like I had to do something and I really wanted him to see the apology because I felt that it was important that he knew we were taking responsibility for our actions. So I give my friend his phone number and she sends out a whole paragraph that she screenshots and send to me to approve before she sends to him. She says she’s sorry and includes in the message that I like him. Which I will admit I did consent to sending, but some thing about me is that sometimes in the heat of the moment I’ll send stuff that I don’t want to just cause of how desperate I am. For some reason this guy decides to respond and call my friend a hoe and says that he never liked me and that I’m not getting a quote on quote “kiss.” Which is fine by me because I wasn’t very physically attracted in the first place, and this only furthers the drama obviously. As soon as I get home, I start balling out my eyes and I am panicking because I have no idea what to do because having beef with people makes my anxiety really bad. In a way, I was lying to myself because it turns out the whole time I was secretly very pissed at my friend for what she did, and didn’t have a lot of empathy for her. The reason being because her excuse was that she calls her guy friend a bitch all the time and didn’t realize that some guys don’t like it. Like obviously they don’t, most people don’t like insults. Karl’s friend starts talking to me randomly in school. also, he was not the one who teased me about liking his friend. Sometimes he was annoying. Sometimes he’d just ask random questions, wether it’d be about school work, or Karl of course but he was decently respectful about the Karl questions. A few weeks end up going by and I finally decided I’m going to come clean to my friend about still being angry at her for what she did. I type up multiple paragraphs and have my mom read the message I was going to send to her. I basically told her in the message that I thought what she did was rude and I wanted her to know that I was upset at her so that she wouldn’t continue to make those mistakes and think it was ok or not big deal. I had trust that she wouldn’t do anything like that again hopefully but I wanted to make sure. She ends up apologizing again and saying she’s sorry, of course I accept her apology and move on. And she agrees not to get involved with any of my personal dating life. Like I even had one at the time. This is around the middle/end of the year and Karls one friend. The semi- respectful one asks me how I’m doing one random day in our study class. I got confused because this came out of nowhere so I said, “what do you mean?” He responds with, “You know since everything happened with you and Karl.” I get very defensive and say I’m fine I don’t care. Honestly it doesn’t matter to me anymore. I’m over it. I basically just go on a rampage for a few seconds about how I could “really care less.” After he deals with my tremendous rampage he asked me if I want to know what happened and says that he could tell me I declined because I felt like it was the bigger person type of thing to do. Part of me did but also didn’t want know what I did wrong. what I said wrong, if it was my friend that ruined it or ,if it was really just me and my personality . or maybe, even worse I was just set up the whole time for a “funny little joke.” it didn’t seem like a joke though because that one popular girl who told me that Karl liked me seemed very genuine, and still seems pretty genuine to me till this day. She also post lots about being Christian, Bible verses, etc so I assumed she meant well. Long story short, now I think I might like Karl’s friend but I just know that will never work out because it would be way too awkward and I’ve messed up far too much at this point. I think my friend really got karma in the end. She mentioned to me that sometimes in her classrooms Karl would call her a bitch and yell at her, or Karl’s less respectful friend would call her a bitch. And I know it’s not my fault that she gets called a bitch because she kind of does act like it sometimes but that’s a story for a different time, and she did that to herself and her stupid mistake is why she gets called a bitch now.
