I like this Oda, I'm a pvmer and I don't know where to start. I'm a master of the tick system and do inferno but I still learned stuff here btw it's fine if you don't go over beginner stuff, there will be people that don't know it but I do so it's fine lol but seriously I think a lot of people that have experience in the game but have trouble crossing the gap into pvp. I used to play in the mid 2000s as a kid, having no idea what I was doing and stopped playing for 15 years. why would you walk under them? the logic explained at around 27:00. i dont play the game but i know a bit about it. i understand the logic of mixing up the order and amount of different attack types but not the part of walking under them

You can’t attack someone that’s on the same tile as you, your character will move to an adjacent tile but they’re frozen so they can’t move.

@@jeshegames interesting. i can see a world where the game could recognize me moving off of the same tile as the frozen opponent, which would then make them auto-hit me to balance the fight out, so i can't kind of "abuse" this trick. could they time their attacks on me though? i.e. kind of predict the timing of when im about to move off their tile to attack them, and then attack me as i'm moving off (essentially mirroring what i'm doing), or is it too hard to time?

@@Ergooo I'm not a PKer so I only know the base theory of it but one situation is that you can't see what the other person is doing underneath you unless you use an Entity Hider plugin to hide your own character. So they could freeze you and then swap to range and you wouldn't know to switch prayers. They can also eat to a safe HP while you can't attack them. You can even freeze them and try to logout underneath them.

I'm exactly your target audience for this vid - returned after quitting in 2008, and I wanna say: -This was the first video from your channel I really enjoyed, you are patient in explaining even basics and not cocky like in other videos (you deserve to be cocky because you are indeed very good but I like modesty) - You showed some lovely examples, especially the pot triple eats and F keys setup, when showing your F key setup I was so happy I have the exact same setup, I made it instinctively as it felt the fastest and most comfortable, so glad I'm getting a feel for this game again... To much information at once makes people doubt when it’s time to make actions or decisions, simply because they have to much information to their disposal in short term. Little longer term, you will learn your own way of applying these techniques in combination with the rest of the information. Easier to proces when your doing it yourself. Back to topic, I fully agree!

Say ahrieem I was picked up by a local zounty zunter because I forgot to appear for my court date. Say inshalleh village when I was getting booked in the county jail the lady asked me if I practiced any religion and I told her I am 99 prayer with 5/5 halal spell book swaps ready to go at any moment. She took this as a threat and speared me into multi. Say alhamdulillah her coworkers piled me with ancient maces and zarty bows like a group of goblin janitor rot members. Started watching Oda about a month ago, and after seeing his PVP skills I was very happy to see this vid hit my sub feed. This video is a testament to Oda's skill and knowledge. This video was amazing, and as an old school pker from back in the day (2004) Thank you! The game has changed sooooo much. Theres even a great lesson for life in this! When I was very young my Dad taught me the importance of not panicking, and to this day, if something happens, Im usually the only person NOT panicking, and I'm usually the first to act and have the most impact on the situation. I think the opposite of Oda's thought process though, I panic because it's a video game and not real life lol, I look at it as I'm about to lose all the time it took me to get that stuff, and since it's not real life I can panic, it's a hard habit to break, but I learned how to not panic IRL by getting thrown in the deep end of a pool with minimum knowledge of how to swim, and being told "Don't panic or you'll die"

Great video. My advice to anyone going into the wild who is getting nervous when they get attacked is this: before you go into the wild, buy a few copies of your set up and then just tell yourself “these are not mine anymore. These are for my deaths that inevitably will happen.” Then you can just calm down knowing that you planned for being attacked and losing your precious hides and ether and focus on praying right.

Hey man, new pker here. Please do another one of these! I enjoy how in depth you are in your explanation. Most people just give directions and assume everyone's on the same page with the purpose of them/timing of them and don't actually explain shit🤦🏼‍♂️ Id really like a segment talking about mouse speed, screen size, tips for clicks, (I click items and either some how missclick or dead click idek) how many switches you should prioritize as a new pker, not only armor/weps but also combat prayers/overhead prayers switches going into different weapons. There's so many things going on with prayer alone I need like a good beginner base to get down before I get more advanced I just don't know what to focus. 1 tick specs or two weapon specs(ags maul / ballista dragon axe), and lastly if you're brewed down what combat style is most effective, when you do get a chance to restore is un potted hits even worth it, and when to re pot. If you're brewing all fight you'd burn through all your pots asap🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ If you read my whole comment, thank you for your time!😂

Zog zog pvp guide! Very good video with a lot of information, some people don't understand how important basics are in any game out there. If you know how to eat properly, how to use simple prayers and how to use spec at a good time to have KO potential, you are already better than most PVP players and all the other advances stuff will come on its way from you just doing PVP. You could simply do PVP in F2P worlds or on pure with small risk and just learn how to PVP that way and then move your way up to main acc etc.
