Used to spend the day at my grandmas house watching Little Bear (she had cable and we didn’t growing up), sitting in front of the TV with a little table and tray with a bowl full of cantaloupe that my grandma would cut up for me. Such beautiful, peaceful and simple times. I hope I can provide the same comfy, cozy environment for my grandchildren :)

I’m 21 and getting very emotional listening to this. My favorite show when I was little was little bear. The slow pacing, the soundtrack, the stylized storybook animals. This show brought me immense comfort, watching little bear fly to the moon with his friends. My dad always used to love watching it with me, he’s never been one to appreciate the arts, but he’s always had a soft spot for this show. What I consider our show. :)

This show, Franklin and etc hit home really hard for me. I was born in '96, my parents divorced when I was 7. You see, these shows bring me comfort because even though despite my birthmom being borderline bipolar and I with my three older siblings enduring physical, emotional and verbal abuse from her, she had a caring side to her at times and did her best to give us memorable motherly moments with bonding with us over watching these shows together. That part will never be taken away from me. So now 28 y/o Christy will continue to travel back with these songs to where it all began for little Christy.

Loved the music as a kid, still pining for some of it as an adult. I'm waiting for the day we have Emily's Theme from when she had to go back home. The scene had Emily giving Little Bear a pen, Father Bear walking her home and Little Bear being rocked with a cup of hot cocoa before learning how to write.
@tomlaser22472 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I know which one you mean. The Wikipedia article says that they used the music Lesley Barber wrote for the show and some excerpts from Chopin, Bach and Mozart. The music in that scene doesn't sound like an excerpt and very closely resembles the rest of the music Lesley wrote for the show. Unfortunately the music in this video is all that Lesley has listed on her page from the album she composed for Little Bear. So far I haven't found any other sources to pull the soundtrack from. If anyone finds anything I would be happy to upload a new video with the rest of the soundtrack.

I always tell people I have the mentality and imagination of Little Bear but the personality of Duck! But this show was my absolute favorite growing up and shaped so much of who I am as an adult today. (I still catch myself saying "interesting...") I had a group of stuffed animals as a kid and "we" would go on similar adventures wherever we wanted within the four walls of my room. There are really no words to describe how much this show meant to me then and now. And how peaceful it was, with Mother Bear and Father Bear always right there to protect and guide Little Bear's imagination. Thank you so much for providing the soundtrack of my childhood!

This takes me back to when everything was okay, and everything was good. As an adult it's actually hard for me to follow some of these songs as far as the timing goes, which amazes me! It's like I'm re-learning a bit more about jazz, or just hearing something old for the first time again, making me think about it a different way. These compositions are so nice.
