I remember watching you craft the vest you wear thinking, wow what talent. But watching this video I now understand that the vest was just a quick walk in the park comparatively speaking. Beautiful job on the buggy top.

I'm 18:39 into this, and I'm thinking about the loss of kindness in this world. Stay with me! The love and care that you show through your work is imbedded in the product that you make and that love and care passes from you to your client through your work and from their purchase on to everyone they love and care for. That love is now sold to us in 'brands'. Hmmm...

I like this version too Dave. I really enjoyed the longer version where you talked us through what all you were doing even better though. Glad you have both versions available for anyone to watch and thank you for documenting it for the History to be passed down for generations. Fred.

Dave, I remember watching you sew a bag for Diane on your Singer 29K. I decided I really needed one and started watching for one. I found a non working 29k-4 a couple hours a way and bought it without even looking at it in person. With a few new parts and lots of TLC, I was able to get it sewing again. I named that machine Francis after my Grandf😊ather. He was a Singer repairman who taught me h9w to work on sewing machines. We have over 50 sewing machines in our homes, and sewing and quilting are a big part of our lives. My wife is an avid quilter, and I make and sell lots of products to quilters. I also do repairs on vintage Singer machines for family and friends. Your skill at everything you do is an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all.

Jack of all trades, master of most. My grandparents had a carpet laying business back when carpet came in narrow rolls and had to be hand stitched together and hand tacked to the floor. After my grandfather passed, my grandmother still took in repair jobs. I recall spools of heavy thread, balls of beeswax for the heavy needles and thread, tack hammers, and especially the carpet tape to bind the edge. Your heavy webbing reminded me of some of that tape. Somehow, this video took me back. A lot different but kinda the same. I'd really like to see a video on making up a bunch of those singletrees. You can't bore me with the details. I'll sponge it up.

Thank you Dave and Dianne, Whilst you show great patience in all of the disciplines that you undertake, I know what frustration can attend some of them. So well done for that. May I ask please, in the days of yore would one man have had one 'trade' and stuck to that, or would everyone have learned everything and become a competent multi-tasker as you are?
