Don't worry about your core subject, you just need to maintain your CGPA equal or above than 8 if you are not interested in your core. You can prepare for your academics before one or two weeks of your semester exams and use the rest of your time for your coding skills.

Its not recommended to do DSA in C because there's no library and you will have to code everything from scratch. So better you learn C++
