Anyone before try to press to open from back side, make sure you heat it up from front before press. This guy on this video has opened this device before that's why it's so easy to press and open. Even after heat it up, it will be hard to open. Otherwise you will break the screen

Excellent tear down. Your method of removing the back cover/metal bezel assembly is preferable when attempting to remove the glass/digitizer/screen assembly.

If you had a cracked screen, how come you bought a replacement for less than $5?! Screens are the single most expensive component in a smartphone. I think you meant the glass, didn't you? And you still got it for extremely cheap.

My S Pen stopped working and trying to crop pictures were not being allowed. As soon as I would remove the S Pen and it would make the noise it usually does to notify you that it has been removed the screen would freeze. I called AT&T and had to deal with that ordeal for over an hour. They decided to send me a new one including a new battery which they usually will not do unless you pay for the battery and shipping. AT&T has treated me so well over the years. Just about at the 8 month mark and this is the only issue I have had with Note 4. Hopefully noting else will happen but I love having that 1 year warranty. Same thing happened as far as warranty was concerned on the iPhone 5 I previously had and I got a new one at the Apple store. I think it's time to go back to Apple next year when they bring out the iPhone 7. Was told it was coming out this year but that is highly unlikely.

Does can the phone still be reattached without the adhesive mentioned at 0:35, my problem right now is both the lock and vol up/down buttons are stuck/difficult to press, i have some of the tools to open up the device, but if I do everything up to the 1:35 min mark can the phone be reassembled if i do the reverse or will it need that adhesive? @Wit Rigs

Hi I have a note 4 and it is unable to make or receive calls after changing sim. We can send and receive messages and the internet works but just can make or receive calls. Called samsung but they said as we bought from gumtree we dont have a proof of purchase and hence wont be covered by the warrenty. I want to know how to replace the sim card slot flex. I can buy new one on gumtree for $15 but dont know how to fix it Please make a video on that will be helpful

hello can u point out where the power IC is situated? my note 4 wont charge properly (Sometimes very quickly) i thought it was battery problem. I changed the battery and performed the factory reset. The problem still persist. When turned on it will boot till home screen (apps showing) and then will abruptly restart and then it keeps on doing that. Works fine on charge though. I think its power IC issue. Am i right? please guide. thankyou

+Samuel Chandool the digitizer and lcd are glued together. but it can be done and is very hard to do and most of the time the lcd will brake. so you will end up getting the digitizer/lcd assmy. so as a tech I always just get both and replace both.

hi i have some issues with almost brand new note 4 help 1- use the charger and remove battery phone turn off ?! its normal 2-headphone jack one side noisy until push hard jack or use pc one any fix ? 3-cant charge well when use phone and battery down unless i turn off screen phone to charge well or decrease brightness 1 degree a bit ? and battery water indicator black ? and for phone is white but in upper left side of phone instead in middle behind batery

Is there a way to remove the screen without breaking the stylus flex material? almost every video i see it gets ripped.

It is going to get ripped no matter what. It's so frail and thin it's just going to happen. The idea is to take your time and do it carefully gradually applying moderate amounts of heat so that it is more likely to be freed from the adhesive without large tears. When it is removed you should carefully fold the tears back down and tape them together as is seen in many other Note 4 repair videos. Whoever did this disassembly did an absolute awful job of removing it and ended up ruining the stylus sensor, which will have to be replaced, or a new screen with the stylus sensor pad already installed will need to be purchased

Was looking for a close up video of battery connector pins? There was nothing wrong with mine but my eyes not as good I bend the 2 pins , now looked as this pin not seating properly and phone froze at start up "Samsung loco I was hoping this video does it . i was going to replace battery terminal but after seeing this video , I changed mind, will buy a pair of glasses or magnify glasses and will try to fix the pins.
