Complete Sea-Doo Fuel System.

This video takes you through the entire fuel system in a Sea-Doo watercraft. I deal mainly with early skis because I like them a lot better than modern PWC's, however, a lot of the parts in this video are going to be similar to any Sea-Doo watercraft up until about 1996-97. I find most of the problems with older skis have to do with the fuel system, always a good idea to clean the entire thing out and make sure all the components are working as they should. This video will give you a heads up on some problems than can occur, and what to do about them.

Scotty I have a 1998 GTS seadoo bought new in 98. I just rebuilt the carb & will install it this weekend. I’m also going to replace the fuel lines. Pulled the gas sending unit & tank. How does chunks of get in the tank? About 10 pieces of black. Replacing water separator. Bottom of sending unit crystal clear. Do I have to touch my oil lines? How do I clean the top of the sending unit if I need to? Thanks Dennis 🇨🇦

Thanks for the video. I have a fuel delivery issue. The carbs were cleaned and after a 30 minutes ride it died. I think it's the pickup tubes. Thanks for the video. Helps me know what to look for and expect. Do you have experience on 4tec engines too?

Hey Scotty, not sure if that you name or not… I love your videos!! So I’m digging into a 92 Seadoo just like this one (mine is an SP) so no fuel gauge… And just like you said the main fuel hose and the reserve hose (both inside the gas tank) were deteriorated and broken off in the tank. My question to you is: Do you know how long I should cut some new hoses that go inside the baffle? I’m looking at the seadoo manual online and it doesn’t specify. Is this a guessing thing? The reserve should go to the bottom of the tank and the main should be a little shorter? (Is what I’m guessing. Anyway thanks for the videos 😎

Im glad your enjoying the content. To answer your question, I just basically guessed how long each should be. The reserve should, like you say, go right to the bottom, and the main fuel feed I put a little higher, I wish I could give you a specific hight, but I honestly dont remember, you can put it as high as you like. Your sp has the single carb eh ? Less linkage and moving parts to go wrong with it. A great machine, simple and easy to work on.

@@bethlehemjw I dont think you can get the tank through the front compartment. Id go to princess auto and buy one of those cheap hand pumps, or, just use a 2 dollar turkey baster to get the oil out.
