The potato was there, because you colected it when traveling on the map. It is adventure skill. You can see the potato wasnt there when you selected the square.

just out of pure curiosity since we can have multiple races in one settlement.. if i only have one family per race in my town, would they uh... go extinct or go habsburg?

Haven't tried it out, somebody else would have to do the science here. I'd wager they die eventually though.

You dont need the Oven if you have the Cauldron. Also, See-dar, may-hog-any

Yeah but the cauldrons building requirements are much harder to fulfill. Oven just needs stone, cauldron needs metal and an anvil. So use it if you like it for the looks/aesthetics, but oven is way easier to set up.

Rimworld was definitely one of my very first video projects I ever did. But I didn't record anything during the Early Access of that game. I did play it only for myself back then ^^

Is carry a water barrel still better than a water skin like in the demo.

It is, if you have a high str 50+. Otherwise thats weight that could be used to carry treasure..mostly equipment which youre going to be selling to make that initial 11k+

Technically yes, practically it's not possible to see which skills the people in a family you hire actually already have.
