Doubt: 1- what if two ot more frequencies is same and highest. 2- If the highest frequency lies in the very start or in the very end of the data. In that case what will be our approach to attempt the question. Will these tricks would work there as well or will have to solve traditionally. Thank you.

Even your traditional approach has only "estimated the answer". Note it is taking variables like width of each interval, cumulative frequency etc. You don't know individual data points, hence some assumptions have to be made. Here this method is also estimating the answer based on the assumptions on which traditional formula is formulated. The size of second term in traditional formula is getting estimated in this trick (actually intelligent guess) because it's always lower limit (l) + second term in formula
