Are you kidding me!? Did you fab all the piping yourself? Where did you get the turbo kit? That's a budget beast right there man! Props to you sir!!

@EvilEmpireAMV not exactly sure. I have had it on a small chassis synonymous but we maxed the toque out before we were able to make a full pull. I would guess under 600 to the tires. Never turned it up above 12lbs...scared of the stock block.
@Thefabforums11 жыл бұрын
Yea I created the entire kit myself. I just bought tubing, turbo, wastegate, and blowoff. I didn't really like any of the other turbo kit designs that were already out there.

@bacon421 Thanks for the reply...The intake is a custom peice I did along with the turbo kit. I plan to do a step by step video build up of both in the near future. Subsribe and I will let you know when they are up.

I fabed everything my self ...no kit. I hope to be able to make a how to for everyone on the custom build,

Nice! you got to love MegaSquirt ;)
@Thefabforums13 жыл бұрын
@hemiowner105 Both sides must feed the turbo. The turbo creates back pressure which would be unbalanced if only connected to one bank. Plus the more exhaust gas energy you have the larger the potential for power.

Nice build I bet that it sounds nice when the external wastegate unleashes music

@midwestmustangs Thanks. We tried to do a true budget build, without producing a pile of junk.

@dakstar289 I think I ended up having 3500 in the complete build, car and all.
@Thefabforums11 жыл бұрын
yup...this project was also set to be a budget deal...we only had around 3k in the entire build.
@dillanwoodring18205 жыл бұрын
3k in the entire build? What about the heads, exhaust manifold, and megasquirt?
@hemiowner10513 жыл бұрын
really nice! on theses single turbo builds do u have to have both manifolds feed the turbo or can you just use one an let the other side be an actual exhaust?

The lower intake looks like it's from a truck? I know they have bigger ports because I have rebuilt my old ford. Question now. How could I use that lower without the taller upper on the stang? Maybe make an adapter plate from the oval upper of the stang to the rectangular lower? I have motor mounts that dropped the engine an inch but then I may not be able to use the strut tower brace. Lol
@Thefabforums8 жыл бұрын
+Rusty Krys It is from a truck
@rustykrys8888 жыл бұрын
+The Fab Forums so how can we make this work on my stang? I know the truck lower will just bolt up. I don't wanna use that tall upper tho. Pretty sure it would involve some hood modifications.
@rustykrys8888 жыл бұрын
How do you know what kind of air space to make the plenum with? Or did u just create it to fit over the intake? I would love something like this.
@Thefabforums8 жыл бұрын
+Rusty Krys I just basicly created to fit over the intake...works awesome for a boosted app

How Much HP did it make and what turbo was on it
@Thefabforums10 жыл бұрын
it had a 70mm master power turbo with a .96ar turbine housing. May awesome power with no lag. I never dynoed but the guy i sold it to did. I think it was in mid 500 to the wheel. I went 7 flat in the eight on an easy pass with a 5 speed.

Is this a 351? Or a 302? I want to do something similar with a 302 to see if i can exceed 500hp and remain street/strip driven on boost
@Thefabforums6 жыл бұрын
stock 302 bottom end....made 550 on 12 lbs It drove like stock :)
