Hi K You are a brilliant Colorist and your style is so unique. I can't even pick a favorite anymore. I loved the Page from your Nature book. It's unique, all the details in the different shaped bottles. I love bottles. Probably comes from collecting antiques, you see so many things that are unusual. The snakes are gorgeous. Loved both bee pages. The beach houses were beautiful with the Red lighthouse. Brought back fond memories for me living 12 miles from the beach once. Lived 2 minute's from the docks where the shrimp boats came in. Thank you!!😁❤ Your beautiful work is so inspirational and for an older person it seems to carry me down memory lane many times. It's a joy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent with us. I am so thankful you are improving even more from Covid. I feel terrible that you had to endure that. My jaw just dropped when you opened the Science and Nature book! I have been so looking forward to seeing what you do in that book because I love the book so much too. Your imagination and what you accomplish just blow me away. I had wondered if you illness was covid….I am so glad you are feeling better. Do continue to take care…I have escaped its clutches, but some of my family have long covid and it a disease that certainly doesn’t always let go easily.

The circle og life is my fav. too i bought a few copy's as they were only 4.99 each the bee hand hive page blew me away i am going through your completed pages playlist and seen you grow in confidence once you found out you love metallic paints then again when you used glitter and other mediums on your pages I haven't even started yet lol don't apologise for using to much glitter or metallic we are here for it you pages are breathtaking the anticipation when you turn the page I find myself craning my neck closer to the screen that's how we are when watching your pages i know i cant be alone in this lol

Oh K! Every time that I see your pages I wish from the bottom of my heart you were my neighbor! I could take lessons from you! I absolutely love the page with the bottles and the tags! We’ll all of them are stunning! Even with all the shine they are so balanced and elegant 😍. I need to find a similar product of the satin glazing medium because it’s not available in Mexico. Thanks so much, and that’s very kind of you to say. It would be great to share the hobby with my neighbour! As an alternative you could look into the transparent Liquitex gesso - I’ve heard that it’s smoother than most gesso or even a watercolour ground? Hope you are having a fab day!

Thanks so much. For the bees wings I used silver uni ball gel pen for the outlines (all over the black outlines of the wings), pastel tone pencils for the inside of the wings (made it like a rainbow of colours) and then disco dust glitter on top of it all (paint from the Art spirits on Etsy).

@@ColouringwithK you layer things I’d never think of! I wouldn’t think of using the uniball and then something over it before seeing your videos. I’ll have to invest in the disco dust. I’m not a “glittery girl” but your pages have made me try some sparkle(the most I did before was using the gelly roll clear glitter pen. Lol). You have beautiful pages. And your videos are always well done.

I did 9 pages this month. And 2 mini pictures. The mini pages are the first pages from nightfall by Maria Trolle. The title page and the info page. I also did the this book belongs to page. Did one from world of flowers and worlds of wonder. 2 mandala's from a Dutch book. One colour by number, The title page from animorphia, one from the menagerie and the last one is from colouring heaven inspirational quotes. I wanted to work in books that were still uncolored. I started 5 new books this month. Really liked your pages this month

Hi Mary, thanks so much for your comment. I use tracing paper between my pages - just any cheap brand but I’m thinking of getting baking or grease proof paper as some other colourists use it. The bee book could be the one called I love colouring bees or do you mean the one by Rita Berman - Die Welt unter der Lupe - zu Lande: Ausmalen und durchatmen? Hope you are having a great weekend!

They are all gorgeous. That ship though, the sky and moon just glow. Well most of your pages glow or twinkle or sparkle. And I can't believe you did all of that AND had Covid in the same month. You are a colouring demon. If I ever had a channel I think it would be called Sue Colours - Slowly! I can't find any of the Nuvo opal glaze polishes anywhere. Do you remember where you got them from?

Thanks Sue, I colour every day but didn’t when I was ill but the head start with colouring at the back end of June meant I’d already coloured a few pages before I fell ill. The Opal blaze polishes are by Cosmic shimmer and you can purchase them from Craftstash or Crafts4less online. Hope you are having a good weekend!

When you use all the different mediums you named, do you prep the entire pages with gesso, or only when you use paints! Your pages are beautifully done! Esp. for being sick! WOW! Belated Happy Birthday, sorry you had to be sick.

I can't keep track of all the different shimmer pastes and glitter dusts you incorporate into your pages. They are all so lovely. I bet you must have the biggest collection of glittery shiny pastes, paints dusts and pens out of all the colorists I know. Lol. The regular watercolor paints you couldn't remember the name of that zucchini kitty had that was japanese.. could it of been gansi tambi possibly? Or the pretty excellent brand (meiang?)? I've been mulling over which regular watercolors to buy for a few weeks as it will be my first professional or student set and I have it narrowed down to 3 brands. I want ones like you used that are deep and dark toned. Do you think it might of been the gansi tambi you used at 18:12? Also do you possibly remember if it was a black glitter gel pen that you used on the last bee page or was it a glitter paint? I'm searching for a good black glitter gel pen atm. I'm glad to hear your getting better and feeling better. I know it must be scary to catch "it". I know over here in the states we are getting scared again with all the news of the delta variant. Very glad to know you are ok. I think the ship page and the icy page with the penguins and whale were my favorites... I just love the colors and the silver and gold you used.

Hi. I do have a rather big collection of pastes and glittery mediums, I think I need to log all my art materials so that I make sure I use all of them enough! The paints I used on the background of the mantis page in Mythographic dream gardens was not Gansai Tambi. Oh no !!! Well it must be a Cancerian thing because on the 2nd of July I became really sick and I found out that I too had Covid ...I have been vaccinated and wear a mask to the few places I do go to for shopping so who knows how I got this??? All I do know is I was extremely sick and was nauseous and throwing up for 3 weeks straight! I lost 33 lbs on the process...I am a very bad Diabetic so my doc thinks that's why I had such a bad case!!...I'm still extremely tired but at least I can finally eat...I am so glad you are over your case as well...as always "K" you are in my prayers each day and it is so good to watch your videos as always! Having prior conditions definitely does make its impact worse but hopefully you are on the mend and will get stronger each day. Hi Kay.......In the second pic showing, Rita Berman's book - what's the exact paint used for the clouds? I'd like to get some for use on wings and things that I'd like to have that opal coloring. Also, the bee page in Circle of Life (2nd to last showing in video) - what is the black glitter used on the bees - I couldn't make out what you said? This too I'd like to have - don't actually see much of black glitter used in people's work, but I really like the way it looks on a page.

Hi! The paint is Finetec Coliro blue Pearl and Finetec Coliro copper Pearl. The black glitter is part of a set by Finnabair and the set is called the ivory and ebony set. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
