Those are my two favorite ways to color. First alcohol markers with polys for shadows and prismas for highlights.. I love that so much I set up a case with the polys and a selection of all the pastel prismas together for ease of use, even though I also have the full set of prismas separately. Pages are rich, saturated color with a ton of depth and dimension. I do all my Mythographic pages this way. Second is water soluble media blended with alcohol... it takes a bit to get used to because they don't move as much as with water but it's so nice to have no bleeding or warping, you just have to adjust how you lay the dry pencil down. Works with inktese, watercolor pencil, and neocolors. I also base with watercolor pencil.. just a flat layer of color, the effect is very much like basing with a marker but works on double sided pages.. activating with alcohol, then going over with pencils.. it comes out beautiful and zero bleed or warp. My third favorite is to lay down prisma in the darker areas and blend it out over white paper with the blender pencil. I don't know any other pencils that spreads like prisma unfortunately. I'm doing all of Ivy and the Inky Butterfly with this technique. All of these are so much faster than standard pencil work, much easier on my arthritic hands, and greatly increased my coloring frequency and enjoyment. I haven't touched a waterbrush in months. I also recently tried refilling my blender with 90% alcohol because I'm using so much of it, and wanted an inexpensive option for refills.. I'm still testing, but it worked great on neocolor so far.

The colours you chose are so beautiful, and I love the work you do with Inktense. I think your coloring is beautiful. The only problem I have is you keep moving the book. Please, I get motion sickness. I can understand that you want us to see the shiny bits.
