I have one of these frames for 2 years now with the intention of rebuilding it.. It will get done this summer.. Thanks for sharing and motivating.

Thanks for watching! Yeah, it was quite a bit of time and effort, but was also a great learning experience. I had a good time doing it. I'm pretty sure I could do it a bit quicker next time now that I've built a couple bikes since.

Thanks and thanks for watching! I actually ended up selling it to a kid to help him get to his Summer lifeguarding job. Here's to hoping he makes it last.

Nice build sir, am no mechanic but i noticed the seatpost the offset is facing front, but overall really nicely done i hope you enjoy riding that beautiful machine.

Hey there, thanks for watching! Yeah, I noticed the seat post issue after filming and turned that around to sit properly. I wound up selling this bike to a kid for his Summer lifeguard job.

Why the twist shifters initially? Glad you took them off. Nice bike

I was keeping things as they were originally, but since I upgraded the drivetrain to be a 1x10, I switched to regular shifters to account for the gear increase. Thanks for watching!

Stickers seem to leave no glue on the frame after removing. But in my case I can not find the effective and not harmfull way to remove it.

When removing stickers, I use a blowdryer, but a heat gun would be better. I heat up each area I'm trying to remove and slowly work it.

Oh, also, if there is any residue left over, clean it with WD-40. Works great.

What fork was that you used

Hey there! Thanks for watching. The fork I used is the following and wound up being a decent entry level fork. LANXUANR 26/27.5/29 Inch... www.amazon.com/dp/B092Z8ND7X?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

What is the spacing of the rear end on this bike? I'm curious how the chain line ended up, with the 1x10 you installed.
@BasementBikeMechanic6 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching! The chain line was small, but with the hanger and a very small spacer, like

@@BasementBikeMechanic I wish Shimano would produce a true non-boost crankset. I'm guessing even CUES is boost. Anyway, it's good you were able to sort it with spacers -- and the build looks great!
