Nice job Rob! A couple of things. You made a comment about this and other trailers lasting for decades. I've built a lot of trailers over the years starting in the late 70's and they're all still going strong. About 20 years ago, I started galvanizing my trailers and that was a game changer. Virtually maintenance free at that point. Also. I used to fab my own fenders out of 7 gauge, 3/16" plate. That was a lot of work. Nowadays I make them using 10" junior channel. You notch them and bend them with the brake and they too are virtually indestructible. Also I bolt the fenders on instead of welding them, You know how much work it is to remove fenders that have been welded on. Thanks for the video. Keep em coming.

Galvanizing would be awesome! Trailers are like anything else in the world, right- buy/build quality stuff and take care of it and it’ll last you a long time. Thank you for watching and commenting

what a nice clean trailer. it sure looks good now. lots of years left in that trailer now. did that trailer have a dovetail added? looks like the axles are just about centered. the value is in the prep, finish and making it suit your needs for sure.

Nope, it was built with the tail. That axle spacing works out well for hauling our backhoe because it puts the tractor’s rear axle right over the rear trailer axle and lets the hoe hang over the long tail without extending beyond the rear of the trailer.

You'll have to excuse my stupidity, I'm sat here enjoying the video, great job by the way, and I'm thinking, how did you get the RV build out to fit this, then it dawned on me, the truck cab is in the barn, when i know that's painted and on the truck frame, lile i said im stupid 🤣 🤣 Keep up the great work mate. 🇬🇧

I buy them locally from Richfield Trailer Supply- they may ship too. They’re also available from e-trailer and Amazon
