- What is the depreciation curves of these planes? It's never listed. I'm supposing a C150 will hardly depreciate, while a brand new DA42 will lose more value. - Fixed & Variable costs don't include the depreciation either, I presume. - I think it should be included in "cost to own", given that it is a cost. An old plane for 100'000$ which will barely depreciate, flying at 1.5$/nm or a newer plane at 400.000$ which will lose perhaps 20.000$/year, flying at 1.5$/nm are not comparable, which is not clear from these tables.

Do you have any more single engine planes scheduled for further videos (do you have a public list of planned videos)? I am about to complete my PPL checkride and have been reviewing sale listings from time to time. Would hate to buy something and find out a month later a better choice was hiding out there. I have been building a comparison spreadsheet off your videos. Maybe like this general topic video, you could create a general topic overview of what makes and models are out there to consider, whether or not you reviewed them already. (Love your videos!)
@CompleteWalkaround2 жыл бұрын
No public list of future planes. My recommendation is to figure out what you can afford, then buy a plane that costs 50-70% of whatever that number was. You'll be happier in the end in my experience.
