Completing my first real hunt with Prowler

I never got any good a Prowler, but it is a very fun weapon to play. The different kinds of Prowlers have a little bit different movesets which add even more depth in addition to the skills a Prowler can learn. I imagine it'll be very rewarding to beat full on regular hunts with a Prowler once you get better equipment and proficiency. Get well soon Ristretto ☕️

Thanks, Big G! I was doing some extra research on the other cats last night - I had no idea some of them had adept dodge/adept block/ aerial jump. They’ve got a lot more options than I initially thought.

@RistrettoMH Definitely try them out, I love the Adept Dodge and Block ones alot, and my favorite skill is definitely the Giga Barrel Bombay. Much boom, very fun. There's guides out there by folks like Gaijin Hunter that explain how to scout for cats with the correct skill potential and which moves can be taught by other Prowlers that already know the move you want on your "optimal" Prowler. It may seem daunting, but if you really enjoy Prowler it can be well worth it.

Prowler is always an interesting perspective in a hunt. The camera is so low to the ground that the monsters feel bigger and the pace of the hunt feels a bit frantic. I think you d a punch at 11:56!

The low camera really does help with changing the overall feel when you’re playing them. Also, thanks for pointing that out - that might’ve been my first cat !

i have a support prowler that can put down a fresh trap every 40 or so seconds, it gets really absurd

The whole prowler system to me is as hard to understand as the palico/palamute setup shenanigans in Rise

It’s pretty weird yeah. Especially earlier on in the game when you can’t unlock all the “skills” or “moves” for the cats yet. Still, feels good to try out!
