I had a Differential Equations test I was struggling for on complex eigenvalues and I watched a couple other videos to try and understand the process but this guy absolutely cleared things up and thanks to him I think I rocked the test.

The feeling when this man can make you understand complex eigenvalues in 7 minutes compared to a 1 hour and 45 minute lecture.

@@mathproblemssolvedcraigfau775 Linear Algebra, but the math was more or less the same with different notation. I asked about you the semester after I took your class and they said you moved to ACC. Hope all is well with you. Thanks again, your class is what showed me that I could do it.

wow the way you explain math is more clear and easy to follow than anyone i've seen on youtube. You also edit the video in a way where the steps go fast but it is not hard to follow. You have a gift, thank you sir.

So if all equations are the same, we can sub any value as b? Or is it only when exactly 2 equations are the same we can sub any value as b (2:31)

If you were to use the first equation instead and solved for B in terms of A, you'd get B= ((1+3i)*a)/5. So you could have an eigenvector of X = [ 5 1+3i ] This would lead to a different general solution, would it still be valid?
@mathproblemssolvedcraigfau7753 жыл бұрын
Hi Plato! Notice that if you multiply each element of your eigenvector by (1-3i) you get the eigenvector [ 5(1-3i) 10 ] which is a multiple of the eigenvector we got in the video. So your eigenvector is just a multiple of mine!
