This song is a bit different from their earlier material. For some of their more djenty songs check out Haven, or Fear.

Unprocessed used to be djenty prog metal, but they have changed their style quite a bit. This single is the first release since with the new sound and their next album will be more like this. So although they are definitely inspired by Polyphia, the song doesn't sound like this because they were featured and Tim Henson only wrote the part that he played. Manuel (the vocalist/lead guitarist of Unprocessed) actually came up with the main riff while they were touring with Polyphia. And yeah, you bet he can shred! You should definitely check out some of their older songs. I'd recommend 'Abandoned' (their biggest hit), 'Fear', or 'Haven' for something even heavier. Hoping for a reaction 😊

Keen to check them out again if they're moving away from their previous sound. Great musicians, but the song writing and composition was extremely boring from past songs I've heard from unprocessed

His "butter-like" smooth voice can easily switch to a demon like scream. Please check out their other stuff like Abandoned (probably my favourite song from them) or Fear to get some more Djent :D

I was thinking this band name sounded familiar. I've had their video Abandoned in my bookmarks for a long time. I think that was more like you were expecting.

Tim Henson didn't write that my guy.

That's interesting since I highly associate this writing with his work. It seems that he's become quite an influence on more technical metal.

Please react to ichikoro-enemy or ichikoro-james (but it is very short), its their newest song and ichika nito has a really similar style to Tim's guitar work with a little bit of crystal clean tapping. I am sure you'll enjoy that! By the way, a really good reaction and analytical approach to the song, I really enjoy your reactions!

@@liliIiliIilil Indeed. But since the topic of the week is recent releases, "Waves" would be a good tune to analyze.

That was actually not tims riff. Manuel (the singer/guitarist) writes quite similar to tim.. His writing is actually quite amazing if you look into some of it.. Maybe dont do a reaction, but just a quick search of his stuff on ur own sometime.. Like his little song " rain". Hes a beast.. Writes really beautiful stuff! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKCvqaGFq7lofLs

If I'm not wrong, it's the first official song were Tim plays with Tosin's thumb picking technique, Abasi himself taught this to Tim during quarantine xd PS: this song it's like a new Unprocessed's side with electronic elements, the chugs and the djenty stuff are in songs before Real like in Abandone

I love that Tim continues to improve his playing by incorporating styles from other unique performers.

You have to check Unprocessed!!! It's a lot harder than this song... "Abandoned", "Fear" and "Haven" are my favorites! Thanks for the reaction!!

A lot of there other stuff is way more djenty but this one really isnt. I would really recommend listening to either "antlers decay" for something more heavy and groovy and abandoned if you want something with a bit of everything (but it's more similar to this being less heavy)

I liked that weird poppy tapping riff, not so sure about the rest though. But I’m totally for including some ‘foreign’ genres like hiphop, it’s good to expand our musical tastes.

Man - while listening to this I saw that Periphery was going to go on tour with Unprocessed and Kadinja as guests. Stupid 2020 ruining everything. In fairness - this track is a pretty far departure from most of Unprocessed’s previous work - this is way lighter/more pop tinted. I still dig the tune - but I miiiight prefer their earlier stuff.

I'll definitely have to check out their earlier works now.

That would be rather interesting. Mark has a beautiful way of writing lead lines and it would be interesting to hear his smooth playing against the rigid hyper rhythmic writing on display here.

How does the poll work? (I know it's only for patreons)
@CriticalReactions4 жыл бұрын
There are two polls for each week: one to select the theme and a subsequent one to pick the band/song. I used to select the top 5 most popular bands for the week but starting with this theme I'm using a bit of a process to ensure that less popular bands still have a shot at being on the channel.
