Absolutely perfect video! "'The Nearness Of You"' is a rare piece to be used in an example and i'm so glad you used it. Love the tone chosen. Jack, you are inspirational.

Excellent lesson..! Just transcribed and ready to do the arpeggios- I might write down the 3sand 7s under each chord- as a target note goal- idk if you talk about intervals but would love a lesson on that! And how you connect positions - I use the same way and same fingers each time and my hunch is there's other ways -( I know you mentioned it here for down the road and not for this lesson but just wanted to say that would be a valuable lesson and you would Give a great lesson on that!). Thanks 🙏🏼

Another excellent one Jack! Although it is already level 2+... When you have time, perhaps do one with a simpler chord progression. At least I'll look up for one to start with. As a matter of fact when I practice following the chord progression only linking pieces of arpeggios going alternatively up and down, it often sounds better than any of my impros...

Excellent Jack. Thanks for insight on your process. Some of your vocabulary shows in your blues, your jazz and now if ever so slowly, in my practice and playing. Also, how do you make your rich sounding backing tracks?

ok....I've been following your channel for a long time. But...when you do chord substitutions, please explain it better. So the solo must go after the chord...It's normal for you, but we who follow your channel would would like a little more explanation.
