Very informative video. Can you provide an update on you composite bonding work done ? Are you still satisfy with it? I’m about to finish my Invisalign treatment and I’m thinking about getting composite done on front 2 upper teeth.

Hi yeah I would deffo recommend getting the composite bonding done! It’s been a. Few years now and one of my teeth that I got done needs re doing , you can’t really tell but I can tell when I look up close, which is a bit of pain but it is one of my front teeth that I obviously use a lot.

But do your retainers still fit with composite bonding or did you need new retainers?

Good question, I got my bonding straight after my Invisalign and then I got my retainers moulded to my bonded teeth ☺️

Do you need to use a different kind of toothpaste after getting bonding? Not sure if whitening toothpaste like crest 3d white/ Optic White would affect the composite material?

I got bonding done last month but can’t afford to get the trays £200. Do you think it’s bad that I don’t wear any ‘retainers’ to bed?

Hi I would really recommend getting the retainers ASAP , your teeth move so much without realising. Whilst I was waiting a couple of weeks for my retainers my teeth moved slightly , if you do not wear them ever your teeth will move :(

@@oliviaswl hey, sorry I didn’t mention. I never had Invisalign, I had a gap in my front teeth and got it closed with bonding. The dentist said I should buy a plastic tray for £200 to prevent the bonding wearing down from grinding teeth overnight…. I think it’s to pricey so haven’t got it yet

Ah okay! Yes I would still get them as it would help with the grinding at night but I don’t think it is the worst thing if you don’t get them immediately ☺️

Also I thought the whole thing of bonding was so u don't have to do retainers which comes after getting braces removed? So even with this bonding u will need a retainer aka tray ? I'm confused

No the point of bonding is to just for aesthetics tbh to re shape the tooth or if you have chips . The retainers prevent your teeth from actually moving

Olivia, I’ll likely have composite for my front 8 and bottom 8 teeth as they show when smiling, will the composite colour still have to match my current teeth or does that become irrelevant given I’m getting composites across the board?

@@RH19AFC I think that it will not matter if you are getting the whole tooth covered as you won’t be able to see the original tooth colour. I only had to get mine to match because I only got the bottom parts of my teeth covered!👍🏼
