Hi , can we use petroleum jelly as separator?

it plays the role of a separator, but I don't recommend using it as such. Because petroleum is hydrophobic and can contaminate the resin and interfere with the adhesion of the restoration to the cement. Therefore, when it comes to indirect composite resin restorations, I prefer to use proprietary products or water-soluble separators that can be removed with an ultrasonic bath. ☺️
