The curve/detail illustration really drove this home for me. Thanks for helping me properly understand the technique!

I like it, its a good technique, been using it for a while now. another way to do something similar is to convert the image to HSV colorspace in the colorspace node, and to then only work in the blue channel ;D

Awesome tutorial! Thanks for sharing. Is there any way you'd do a video on how to key without a green or blue screen ? Essentially keying without an alpha? No one seems to have a tutorial on this and I'm sure it would come in super handy for tons of people

So obviously ur using divide as the blend, is there any advantage to this as opposed to using a middle gray blending mode such as overlay? Perhaps a stupid question.

Great Technique. I guess this works on De-aging too?
@CompositingAcademy4 жыл бұрын
basiliasTG definitely! A very common technique in beauty work. It’s similar to photoshop’s heal brush.

@@CompositingAcademy How about a Nuke 505 course about de-aging and Digital makeup techniques then?
@CompositingAcademy4 жыл бұрын
@@basiliasTG I have some pretty cool plans coming up for nk505 and further! I am in crunch time at work currently though, so it may be a bit longer as I'm pretty slammed for time!

instead of the blur i denoise the shit out of it. Maybe this is a faster way to calculate instead of denoising (for de-aging that is)

Sir why can't upload your course in 1080 resolution on udemy your New also in 720p
@CompositingAcademy4 жыл бұрын
Hey there, If you set the resolution to "Auto" on Udemy, it will playback in 1080p if your internet allows it. This is a restriction from their website unfortunately to not directly have the button, however it is possible to watch 1080p and I've uploaded all of them in HD.
