If using a 10 litre bucket with a tight lid - put newspaper in the bottom and another one half way up the bucket, finish with a newspaper on top- that will soak up the liquid. Just a tip for someone interested in trying but not wanting to spend a lot of money. I get buckets at a local restaurant, it is just garbage to them but I am happy to reuse instead of another plastic bucket being produced. Also, you can make your own bran by bying EM1 (or making it) and inoculating wheat or Rice bran. Bokashi is just amazing 🌱

Thankyou for an interesting and informative vid! Saw your short about bokashi and had to know more. This sounds ideal for apartment life, i strongly dislike throwing my scraps out, free fertiliser i cant keep 😔 however this sounds awesome 😃. No pests is a big win, fruit flies/knats are always a problem in the warmer months of Mid North Coast, Australia. Keen to look into this more and start growing some food. Stay fab

It doesn’t turn into a detergent, it just overtake the growth of bad bacteria and prevents the pipes from bad smelling :)

We are trying to work out a cheaper way to export it to EU/UK, hopefully we will find a cheaper way. However, I bought a bag and I used 1/4 to cover pretty much all my 11 raised beds. It will last for a while! I’ll keep you posted if I find a cheaper way!

It's pricey but you can compost even meat. It's remarkable how quickly it breaks down organic matter. Also, any liquid that leaks out can be used as a great liquid fertilizer.

@@pandorafox3944 yep, we don’t really eat a lot of meat but you can do that and also dairy, oil, etc. The liquid it’s gold for the garden!
