Got my R2V2’s from Start Fitness for £18 but they seem to be the older model (which is fine by me), the newer (2020) version I think are selling for around £30 I think, tried them out this on a 5 mile run and I’ll definitely be wearing them from now on 👍🏻

I don't Ike the compression on my legs... but maybe I haven't tried the right brand.

It's worth exploring but some people don't wear them at all and it doesn't affect their running.

Do you find or know if there is a major difference in calf sleeves vs running tights? I usually wear running tights though haven't ever worn calf sleeves. With running tights, they likely aren't as tight as the calf sleeves? But again, I have absolutely no idea!

Yes, running tights aren’t as tight and in my experience don’t tend to have any compression element designed into them (unless they are specific recovery ones like Skins). I personally feel the benefits of calf sleeves and I’ve never really suffered with fatigue in my calves (I believe as a result of wearing the sleeves)

Never used any before. What happens when you do cross country or run though a deep puddle they must get heavy? Can you tell the difference between wearing them and not wearing them straight away?
@DanRuns4 жыл бұрын
I've worn them in heavy rain and they drain relatively well. That said, if you're legs continue to get drenched there isn't too much hope for them! The R2 Oxygen are highly recommended by Iron Man, so I assume they're cut out for varying conditions. I can personally tell the difference when I don't wear them but I also know plenty of people who wear them only for long runs.

Must admit I have compression sleeves, but don't feel any benefit from them. I use them mainly for sun protection or when travelling.
@DanRuns4 жыл бұрын
Did you use them in your ultra?
@runningwithmarc4 жыл бұрын
@@DanRuns Yes I have used them in most, but mainly to protect from the sun :P hard to know if they do or don't... some people swear by them. I know you enjoy running in them. Maybe that would be a good test for you some time doing run without/with.

Running with Marc I’ve probably got a placebo effect going on at this stage!
@runningwithmarc4 жыл бұрын
@@DanRuns probably :P, but it's a tricky thing to do on race day, just not do what you've been doing previously, I guess thats why training in the build up is so important to test and try, see what works and doesn't.
