As you can tell I'm and installer far more than a videographer so sorry about having to paste some together here. I finally decided to do a video on unboxing and demoing a Compustar T13 remote into a customers 2008 Ford Focus.

So let me get this right. With this kit you still need the CMX Brain!!!??? Why don't Compustar include everything including the brain in the box!!!

There are a multitude or remote start brains that this remote will work with. I have installed this remote with the compustar Dc3 Brain, Cmx, and even the mid city engineering piece for Mercedes-Benz. This remote kit is an upgrade to give customers the added features and longer range if desired.

How do you extend the remote start timer I know on my t11 I push the remote start button twice fast and it will extend the time
@hawkinstallations4764 Жыл бұрын
On the T13 remote you would double tap the start button any time while the vehicle is remote started and it will reset the runtime.

What is the best alarm that compustar has to offer that i can add this remote too? i also don’t understand why compustar doesn’t have the whole bundle, including the alarm itself along with this remote.

This really depends on the specific vehicle your looking to have it installed into. I tend to run the DC3 remote start unit with the alarm-it kit add on unit when I do this T13 remote kit. The alarm it kit would then come with the compustar DASII which not only has the traditional shock sensor but a glass break and tilt sensor built into the same unit.

What about the window roll down feature ?
@hawkinstallations47642 жыл бұрын
Depending on the remote start module you have installed their should be aux channels that can be worked thru an add on window control module for that operation.

Any video on installation???
@hawkinstallations47642 жыл бұрын
Not on that setup. All that requires is running an antenna on the windshield and running it to the remote start brain. Then programming. Not really much to the install.

Lol. Good catch. I typically mention in all my videos that I'm and installer not a you tuber. Hahaha. No clue how to even edit videos so it's all pure raw content from me. 😀

Whats the price on this?
@hawkinstallations47642 жыл бұрын
It varies depending on the compustar pro dealer in your area. Retail is typically around $799 to $899 around our area juat on the remote kit. I do recommend an authorized dealer vs online sales so you can retain the manufacturer warranty on such an expensive remote.

Is it “easy” to install for the average person…?
@hawkinstallations47642 жыл бұрын
Afternoon, Sorry about the dealy as I just now saw your question. It's not to bad at all as long as you have a compatable remote start unit and know where that main remote start unit was installed under the dash? You would need to remote the antenna previously installed to the windshield and replace it with the one inside the box. Activating the drone is probably the only semi difficult ordeal as you will need a login to go thru the setup. I recommend taking it into the shop that did your original installation as it should be a fairly cheap installation and they would have everything to do it ringht and quick.
