Thanks for replying. I actually think its a really exciting program, so that's just my two cents of constructive criticism. I'm actually considering applying that's why I'm so interested in the topic.

The OSU post bachelor Computer Science degree has some major concerns. One, the program isn't ABET accredited, which matters to employers. Two, there are no math classes required. How can you develop applications for engineers when you don't even know calculus for example? If Khan academy can offer online math classes or Coursera I see no reason why OSU can't. That being said at least OSU is ahead of the University of California for even offering this program, so major props for that.

@Jason Young abet accredited programs matter to a lot of employers and doing well in the program isn't the concern its doing well in an industry where many of the better jobs such as algorithm analysis are most definitely using calculus

@@jasonavina8135 there is a discrete mathematics in it, which is most relevant to computer science. You really don't need to know calculus for it.

@@BOSSDONMAN discrete calculus is a small part of computer science, but the boolean algebra involved is useful for evaluating boolean statements in code and in circuit design. Processor design, algorithm design and machine learning all require calculus though admittedly most people who major in CS don't need it becaue they go into from end, or full stack web design.
