I am sure that any other sultana would sacrifice her daughter for her son, why her son why first; He is the future of the Dynasty and Second, he is the one who can secure the future. Ely Ely right..and historically Halime and Kosem were very good allies and ruled the empire together during Mustafa’s reigns.. Halime was very grateful for Kosem because she played a major role in saving Mustafa and thus Halime and Kosem formed a strong alliance from the old palace

So true and she did give up power in the end. Unlike in the show, she left topkapi palace to live a peaceful life with her son. In contrast, Kosem became drunk on power. Her own son Murad, had to constantly fight her to gain control of pashas. Eventually, she had to be strangled to death to finally end her reign. In my opinion, Halime is a lot more like Turhem.

This show misrepresented Halime at the end, that watching it was frustrating. Made her a power hungry devil who was killed like a dog. Instead of her true end, where she voluntarily gave up power to live a peaceful life of caring for her son until the end.
