This is my first thoughts (a bit strange and maybe crazy) about the clip and song. Sorry for my english. This clip is so straight and sincere. She came to the city where her friend from internet lives (or even another country). She is waiting for a miracle and everything seems so magic and that's because neon is everywhere. She enjoying the place where he lives and she likes it. And then she decided to know him closer somehow. Maybe she just hacked his computer and looks what's inside of it. And then the disappointment came. Her avatar is falling and that means that her hopes and dreams and the feelings of magic about the meeting with him is falling away because she saw something bad about himself or herself. I watched the clip many times and these feelings are known by me and that's why I understand the whole thing (I hope) and love it. Imagination built too beatiful image of that boy. But reality is worse. I still watch this clip from time to time and discover something new.

It's true. It looks like the director doesn't really know hoy to connect visuals and music... The result looks toned down and boring. I think it's an editing problem, or maybe the animated part could be more fast pased... Idk The plot is nice tho.

I think the video captures the music perfectly. Cheery, happy beat, paired with expressive clothing and areas, yet depressingly alone lyrics, fit with the actions Danz takes in the song, such as being alone in a movie theater or being skipped out on a date. The video pairs a hotline aesthetic with loneliness, so I think the director did a wonderful job of connecting the visuals with the music. The result does look toned down and boring, because the song is about being rejected and forlorn. Notice also how that even in the virtual world she is alone, and everyone else is a figment of virtualization. This may be an extrapolation, but I think Danz is thinking about killing herself (her digital model) by the end, after seeing what's been written online through the computer screen. @ 3:01. Maybe it's difficult to find a will to live when you feel that nobody cares about you, acknowledges you, or understands what you're trying to say online, literally the antithesis of finding attachment online.
